interesting poll totals so far -- even split on those that didn't want to make and are still ticked off about it and those that wanted to make and are happy about it.  talk about a nation divided

I wanted the playoffs for the fact that it would get the younger guys to experience the increased intensity that only the playoffs provide, to see who would step up to the challenge when the lights were burning brighter.
Sullinger / Crowder & Smart to a lesser degree showed something, KO was embarrassing try to fight for defensive position for rebounds.Thomas and Bradley showed their limitations when the Cavs focused on clamping them down.
That negative experience has helped fuel their fire to step up their games to a certain extent. So the 7 or so spots lost in the draft can be overcome with Bradley's and Thomas increased production, hopefully Ainge can take advantage of their upswing when he decides to move them on,thus negating the draft position.
Fingers crossed Rozier has gained the trust of management in practice and D league that they feel he will be ready when they open up some minutes in the future.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I wanted us to make the playoffs last year. I loved watching last years team. I thought playoff experience would benefit the team and make them more cohesive in big/close games. I thought playing the Cavs on national tv would help get the word out about our team for potential free agents. I thought we would have enough assets to move up in the draft.

We are now worse in close games than last year. The best free agent we got was Amir Johnson. We weren't able to trade up in the draft. In retrospect I was probably arguing for what I hoped would happen rather than what was most likely.

Since none of the benefits of making the playoffs (or trades to mitigate our slipping in draft position) happened if I could go back and effect the outcome of last season I would.
