There's no way Chicago gives him up for Wallace and a first. If he did, I'd probably take it in a heart beat.
Even though I really can't stand Noah, he definitely fills a need and would be a big upgrade for us at center.
If you can get him that cheap, you really can't say no...though I'd have to cringe every time I watched him.
Why? Noah is EXACTLY what we need. He provides toughness and size which we DESPERATELY need. I'd give up anything to get him.
Anything?
He is an older player who is never healthy any more and is a black hole on offense
So let me get this straight:
People here don't want Kevin Love because he's allegedly a black hole on defense and now people don't want Noah because he's a black whole on offense.
Sooooo, is there any player in the league NOT on the Celtics that's worthy of acquiring??!!
2 points.
1. Yes. You should basically want players who can play at a minimum of an average NBA level on both sides of the floor.
2. I want Noah, however I hope you agree that it is unwise to give up significant assets for a player who will not help you score and is clearly on the downward slope of his career.
Give me a 26 year old Noah and Ill sell the [dang] farm for him.
Give me a 30 year old Noah who has battled injuries this year and is the type who I expect to age really quickly and Ill give you a protected first.
And thats contingent on adding another really nice player (Aldridge?)
Id give up 28 for him in a heartbeat.
