i would be very happy for the celtics to get either one of them. both, i believe, will become very good centers in the nba.

i think the celtics can trade up as far as the 8 to 10 range, IF a player they want happens to land there. there is a good chance either WCS or turner will be there.

I'd take WCS as u know that he is going to be good rim protecter
While turner u don't know even though he has more potential
Plus he has had running issues and lacks the athleticism that WCS has

this was a concern a few weeks ago. but as was shown in earlier threads on cb, the problem is very correctable with physical therapy and strengthening of some muscles in the front hip area.

so,  this is no longer a concern.

the downside is that now turner may move up the draft chart, effectively making it impossible for the celtics to get him.  >:(

I saw WCS going 6th in a recent mock draft.   You really think we can trade up 10 spots?

Maybe instead Boston will trade down 10 spots... perhaps #16 to the Lakers for #27 and #34.  Seems just as likely.

That'll leave us with #27, #28, #33 and #34.  Nice haul of mediocrity.

I can see Rockets as a trade back it's only 2 spot and they can throw in a high second I believe. 27 is a little much but it is funny.

Never strive for average / mediocre ,.......that a non starter attitude for me ......if I was interviewing you .....

You'd be unemployed

So perhaps #16 and #45 to the Rockets for #18 and #32... seems plausible.

If we can't get into the top 12 or whatever and Danny determines that everything from 15-30 is a crapshoot, why wouldn't he move #16 for #27 and #34?

It's not like I want that to happen... just saying it's just as likely as us moving up 10 spots.

Sure, if Ainge can't move up all bets are off.

I think he's going to try to move up if one of these guys slide though.

I like when people don't get your sarcasm.

Obviously moving down 10 spots to pick up another 2nd round pick isn't ideal, but I it probably is just as plausible as using our picks to trade up to mid-high lottery. I think most of us hope that WCS slides down to 9-10 and then maybe we can sneak in there.

WCS. We need a defensive Center and he could contribute immediately. Turner is more of a project, and possibly a liability on defense. I'd rather take the bet that WCS can develop offensively than bet that Turner can develop defensively.
TURNER averaged more blocks. Means what you take from it but I believe that Turner will be better defensively by the time he is wcs age....if he already is not

To me WCS can guard all five positions on a switch, I can't say that of Turner.

I think WCS stats defensively took a bit hit playing on a such a loaded team.   Put in the role of turner and defensively he would clean his clock.  Turner is a better two way player and offensive though.
