We got better this year..
Did we or was the tank on by other team?

I think we got slightly better but next year this team won't cut it because some of the teams we squeaked by will be healthy or not tanking.

Again, we played at a 55 win pace for ~41% of the season once all the final roster moves were made. I don't think we win 55 games with a full season ahead of us, but "health" from other teams isn't enough to knock the Celtics down from an objective point of view. This health from other teams argument doesn't really make sense. A 55 win pace is going to make the playoffs in the East regardless of the health of other teams.

It's so beyond me that fans are so willing to be positive about other teams' situations, but find every reason to be negative about our's, lol. I guess it's the "grass is greener on the other side" mentality.

We need to make several improvements to get to contending, but this team's run for close to half the season should not be understated. It was very impressive for any team.

This is not the sixties and thinking positive does not help one iota.

I think we played hard, other teams did not this year.   I think next year will be a true test.   I look at our talent, and I know that playing hard only gets you so far.   Of course, I will be rooting to win games, but I think Ainge needs to make a move.   I think a step back is a real possibility.

I subscribe to the notion that we have the best bench in the NBA, but we lack stars.  Adding one, I think will enable us to maintain the status quo.   Adding two and we have the team around it.   I do not see us getting three, unless one of our own takes a step forward.
