Big fan of trading up to get Stanley Johnson.

Yep.  Seems like the real deal to me.  I'd be stoked about that.
Sadly we gave that away(tanking) so we could watch the Avery Bradley and Evan Turner playoff show.
OK "KeepRondo"
killed him with that, but really, it's hard to be taken seriously with that nick
it is going to be a fun offseson

I think we're ALL gonna be greatly disappointed---when Crowder jumps ship as soon as free agency starts...He's playing for his next contract right now---and that interview Abby Chin did with his father, didn't give me great hope he's coming back.

What did his dad say?

Good D is important but how would they score?

Both Thomas and Sullinger, who were listed in the OP's starting lineup, have nice offensive games. And Smart has been showing some signs in the post season that he has some game off the bounce.

Trouble is Thomas is too small and Sullinger is too slow, so you lose that best D in the NBA pretty quickly with those two.

I really like Crowder as a backup SF and S Johnson as a future starter but im not sure they are a great fit together. They are both very similare types of power SF who can play small ball PF and I think they would hurt each other as teammates. If Crowder is backing up more of a scoring/ 3pt shooting SF then he can both back him up and play along side him at the PF. Playing two guys with the same offensive skill set and limitations (high end 3pt shooting) may prove less then ideal. Of the current draft prospects I think Herzonja is the ideal fit eventually starting with Crowder as the back up but I cant see to many ways he ends up a celtic.

It would definitely be a trade off in both directions. It could work.

Depends on where he goes in the draft.  If Ainge likes him enough and he falls into the 8-12 range, it should be possible to move up.
I hope it is. I'm thinking it will be expensive to trade up for him though. Possibly our pick, the 2016 nets pick and James Young.

Moving up from 16 to 8?

It'd take that 16 plus probably 3 of the caliber of other 1st rounders Danny has at this point. Not what I see him doing.

And I don't see Johnson going below 8.

How would we score?  Defense only gets you so far.
perhaps the OP envisions a lot of games with scores of 4 to 2.  ;D

Half the reason I come on here during work is for a good laugh. Hit my first laugh early today. TP

Jokes aside, I'd love that team (more drafting Johnson than signing Jordan) but yes scoring would be difficult. Maybe Hibbert and Monroe and trade Sully?
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

As would most the league which is why he'll probably go top 5 instead of 8-10.

I understand that the offense wouldn't be great at this point, but it would be no worse than it is now, we aren't losing anything but Bass and replacing him with Jordan .

The point is it would be a great foundation to be in place before the 2016 Free agency when we will likely have the opportunity to sign 2 more max free agents .  Thats the time that you add go to scoring to your roster .
