I've read that one of the things Lou Williams has got going for him is Toronto's record. But if you combine Phoenix's record before Isaiah left and Boston's record after he arrived, Isaiah is something like 48-35 for the season (if I didn't mess up my math). Same number of wins and only two more losses than Toronto. And Isaiah was the sixth man on both teams.
Plus the fact that he impacted both teams so positively - they're 30-49 combined without him - should account for something. Even considering he's not the only reason Boston got better (they were getting better before, with Crowder and Prince, plus Prince's departure and Jerebko's arrival helped) and Phoenix got worst (Dragic leaving had obviously much to do it).
