Talking only players (the P in MVP stands for 'player') I would give it to Bradley. I think he has been a big part of the glue that holds things together. Improved his skills and input and stepped up when needed for responsibility.

For those who want to mention Coaches and others, there are other awards for them. To nominate someone beyond the 'players' or to not be able to get it down to one player shows a lack of understanding and/or conviction.

With a that tip to Danny and Brad (yeah, first name basis...), both of whom deserve GM and coach of the year honors, the player keeping it together is, for better or worse, Evan Turner.

It would be interesting to see how he plays with established, star-level players. His multi-skill game SHOULD be an asset. I wonder if he'll like it enough to want to stay, but he is sure to look for the biggest payday in 2016.

But if he's the best guy on the floor, well...we get what we've got.

Major props to Danny for assembling a solid cast of young guys with some upside. I like Zeller quite a bit, though someone should tell him there's a weight room somewhere in Waltham. That jumper is looking good, though, and he improved as a roll man too.

I think consistent is the one word I would not use to describe AB. Since all shooters experience swings, consistent offense comes from penetrating and creating high percentage shots and free throws. These are the things AB is TERRIBLE at. James Harden is a consistent offensive player. He could suck the whole game and still end up with 25 points.

AB's reliance on perimeter shooting alone is one of his biggest problems. Also - his defense can be great one night and the next he is torched for 30+ by demarr derozan....

I an not an AB hater, and I think he is a good young player on a decent contract but he is NOT OUR MVP....

Tyler Zeller.  He's been extremely consistent and steady all season.  He's no great shakes as a rebounder and interior defender, but he's the best we've got.  His services have been solely needed.

I'm going with Tyler Zeller as team MVP.

I think it's Evan Turner. The good and the bad balances out and I think he's our best player of the season.

Smart is a very bright light shining though. Love what the future brings for this kid, especially when he starts attacking more like what he did in Ok. State.

It was Jared Sullinger until he showed up late for practices and put the weight that he'd lost in the off season back on.

I agree with Scal that Smart is the MVP and there's not much competition for him.
Has gotten better at most aspects of his game and you can bet he'll be in the gym this summer working on his ball handling and dribble penetration game AND his mid range jumpshot.

Why is Smart our MVP?
He doesn't take plays off. Ever.
He's a fair candidate for defensive player of the year in the NBA and he's a rookie- mark my words he will be the DPOY in the NBA within 5 years.
I think Crowder deserves a special mention too for the short time he's been here.

Marcus Smart is our MVP and considering how hard he works, he'll come back next season a much better offensive player. The 3 point shooting improvement he's shown is exactly what we wanted and extremely relieving.
The question is now whether or not he can expand his dribble drive game from college into the NBA and become a legitimate offensive bull/threat like he was in college.
Key to his success will be getting to the free throw line.

He does everything well but nothing great.  And he doesn't look very good when he does it.

I loved it when Mike Gorman called him an east/west player.

I think that Turner has had a solid season.

Zeller for me. He has done the simple things consistently well all season.

Honourable mention to Turner for being a largely useful contributor to the team on the whole, much against my expectations.

If Smart doesn't win this hands down next year, either we ended up signing someone big in FA or he will have really failed to live up to the hype.

Smart? Give me a break.  I think he has been over-valued.  He has no future as a PG.  And has shown no ability to slash and create.  I think he will be a decent role player. I don't think he has a future as a starter of a championship caliber team, however.  Unless he is playing next to a superstar like Westbrook or Hardin in the backcourt. In that case, you care less about his deficiencies.

Smart is part of the future .....he is a super talent.   Not a skinny twigg who can do NOTHING but shoot jump shots.  ......skinny legged twigs get broken , if hey must rebound or defend.  Or they get run over by big players .   

I don't see any new guys close to being a point guard do it all guy like him.  He is smarter player already than many of the 30 year old guards.   

He is going to be one of the best in the league by time CP 3 days are numbered..

Even though this season has given more than many thought, our MVP is not going to be a dominant player who hasn't had poor games. There have been a few other names mentioned and I can see the arguments for them. Ultimately the MVP comes down to one player and all the honourable mentions are put aside. Over the whole season I see the arguments for AB as strong as any.

I don't particularly like him very much and think he can be a bit ball-dominant at times given his status on the team, but I would also have to go with ET. He is a PG when we need him to handle the ball, he is a go-to scorer when we need a basket, and he even grabs a surprising amount of rebounds.

I don't think he is the kind of guy that can actually be a top player on a top team, but I think he has it in him to meld his game to a more complimentary role (4th-6th best). He has been a nice surprise on what I thought would be a very underwhelming year for him.

As far as most valuable overall, obviously that's Stevens.
