  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Great highlight video of Emmanuel Mudiay simply owning everyone in China.
This guy is legit- consensus number one or two in most possible NBA drafts...Towns and Okafur in the same draft mean that someone's going to get this guy as a bargain with a 3rd or 4th pick.

Could we get that 4th pick if we traded something like our #12 pick+Clippers pick+2 Brooklyn picks? Or would we need our own 2016 pick and a Brooklyn pick?

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.

Yes, you could certainly move up to 4 for that, and no, you shouldn't do it.  Will Bynum also destroyed the Chinese League this year.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Best PG prospect since John Wall.

Best PG prospect since John Wall.

But he's still a PG and not worth giving up a fortune for.

The domination of the CBA means nothing to me.  Some guy named Errick McCollum averaged 39.6 (!!) points per game over there this year, along with 7.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists.  The next TMac?  Or just a scrub who scored five points in four summer league games with the Nuggets?

Mudiay averaged 18.0 points, 5.9 assists and 3.3 turnovers per game in China.  To me, that's not particularly impressive.

The skills seem to be there, but I think he's raw, and the China stuff means nothing to me.  He would have been better off playing in the NCAA.

I hate to say it but, he is playing against a bunch of Chinese players, whom the ONLY good player that they ever produced was Yao Ming and he is made out of glass. Destroying the Chinese league means absolutely NOTHING to me.

It doesn't mean a ton to me stat wise but he does have promise and he's only 19.  I give him that.  For me there are multiple players I would rather take ahead of him than two.  He's probably a later lottery guy.

It would probably take something like that offer to move up that far.  So you'd be using most of our acquired assets for a single unproven player who has only played part of a season in the Chinese league at a position PG where there are a lot of good options.  To make that bet, I'd have to be convinced he was the 2nd coming of Magic Johnson.  Of course if he was the 2nd coming of Magic Jackson, he'd go #1 in this draft and no one would trade the pick.

Competition is less than optimal, Starbury did well over there after he was washed up over here.

Yeah, if we're giving up both Brooklyn picks, I want Boogie!

It would be weird if a highlight real didn't show him destroying.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

agreed - need a top core player in exchange for 2 of those Nets picks.

amazing what some people will throw away for a kid that hasn't proven himself against even NCAA-level talent (and no, the Chinese league is not what I would consider a good NCAA level of competition).
