Its one game.  Good teams have lost to the 6ers this year, and to Minny and New York.  People need to chill out.  It's an 82-game season.  No team gets up for every game, even in March chasing a playoff berth.  Some nights it's just not there -- no more, no less.

No offense meant, but I've never agreed with the "it's one game, chill out" mentality. Yes, last night was one game, but so was the Detroit game, and the Orlando game, and the Lakers game, and the Sacramento game ... so it's really not just one game.

I know this team is young and inexperienced, so I try to cut them a fair amount of slack, but last night was a disaster, and it wasn't the only such game in recent times. Laziness, sloppiness, not protecting the ball, missing free throws left and right, missing layups ... all avoidable.

I'd be happy with a playoff appearance OR a high draft pick (or both ;D), but I'm concerned we're going to be in the dreaded in-between—no playoffs for experience, and no high draft pick for a shot at a really good player. I know there's the possibility of Danny trading up, but I can't see a team with a top-6 pick giving it up for anything Boston has.

Losing a 3-3 series is also one game.

This game was a chance for everyone to show what they're made of -- not because it's that hard to beat the Heat without Wade, but because of the implications it has for the standings. Can't say that the team passed with flying colors.

Fourth game in six nights.
Given that the typical workload in the NBA is 3-5 games a week, this is not exactly an unusually harsh schedule.

Oh my god this thread delivers all the Hoosier-y bluster I was hoping for and then some.

I really like Brad Stevens and one day  I believe he will be talked about with the best of the best but right now he's learning, and while learning he made two huge compound mistakes during the Miami game.

Mistake #1........there is no way Isiah Thomas should even have come close to smelling that parquet. Thomas had openly admitted a vendetta with D. Wade. why would you even allow something like this to happen in a game this important. and to compound the issue, Wade was pulled at the last second and Thomas was left in like a festering boil, with no one to get even with!!!
Mistake #2....the "Mr. Robert's Neighborhood" approach has worked great for Stevens but every once in awhile you have to be a little hard on the beaver. hope at least some of you understand these references. Brad needs to go off on these guys when they start getting lazy.
how many turnovers???

This is what sub 500 teams do.  The only reason playoffs are a possibility is because of the lousy East, not the Celtics talent.

absolutely agree!

the c's could easily go 2-9 over the last 11 games.

Wins: NY Knicks 1 Game and Detroit 1 Game.
Losses: LA Clippers 1 Game, Charlotte 1 Game, Indiana 1 Game, Milwaukee 2 Games, Toronto 2 Games, Cleveland 2 Games.

Well, I missed this by a little.  Congrats C's now go put Lebron on the sideline.  :-)
