12 years ago we gathered here in athens 5 friends all celtics and panathinaikos ( greek team with the same colours and the familiar cloverleaf as a symbol) fans and had a discussion about the celtics. disappointed having so many years to win a championship everyone was saying that the teams history changed(for the worse) with the two deaths of lewis and bias... at that time none had watched even one video o bias.. years after watching the the documentary i have to say... a taller michael jordan next to bird and mchale and parish would be so dominating... what a pitty.... the baketball gods owe us one...
This, to me, is the greatest "what if" in Celtics history—what if Bias and Lewis had lived? I think 1988–2007 would've gone down much differently, with much more success. Lewis had already shown that he could do as well as anyone (perhaps better than anyone) at defending Jordan, and Bias was a great athlete. Bird, Parish, and McHale could've phased out more gracefully. But then, we might never have had Pierce.
