Marcus Smart is starting to tear it up defensively now. And he has garnered enough reputation for the refs to let him play. I love watching his game develop! The needle is definitely pointing up for Marcus Smart.
It may well be that he had a slight health issue slowing him down earlier in the season. Next guy who needs to get well is KO. He showed at the end of last season that he is capable of filling the net.
What I like is that we have a lot of outside threats shooting the 3-ball around 33% or better -- Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, KO, Smart, Jerebko, and Datome. And Crowder sits just outside that mark at 32.3%.
We got schooled by the Spurs, and Smart committed a dumb foul. But those are rookie hiccups. I feel he is only going to get better. And this team, has to learn from its losses if they are going to improve. We are nowhere near to challenging a veteran team like San Antonio. And humble pie sometimes needs to be served.
