Sully was playing good , despite the fact he is big as a house....before his foot gave out .  Played well while Kelly was out.

He needs a lifestyle change .  That's like quitting smoking or drugs giving up all your vises . 

It's his job to keep his body in prime condition. 

I'm thinking he'll meet the challenge. , kicking and screaming .

sully, zeller, bass, ko, jj (did i forget anyone?)
all these bigs can go at anytime in any package

sully is our best rebounder, a good passer, solid low post game but he's no elvin hayes
someone posted he + a first to move up, that to me doesn't sound crazy, no pf we have has done enough to distinguish themselves from the pack
taking into account contracts, sully on rookie deal, bass free agent, jj as well (i think)

to me its going to all depend on market value and the deals ainge can swing
we might see jj as a starting stretch pf with bass off the bench for all we know?????  ::)

So did everyone he guarded almost every night.   He is good on one end of the court, does not always run the floor and appears lazy on a lot of possession.   Do you think he three point shooting was good at .29%, which is not far from last year's abysmal .28%.

  That is a huge "if".   He has long arms but his vertical is below average and his foot speed is poor.   He hurt at the combine with his low athletic scores.  Twenty other teams passed on him because of those and his back issues.  He is not without talent but it is good bench big talent because he is a poor defender who can't shoot but takes a million threes.

There are like 20 better power forwards in the NBA than Sully and 30 teams in total.  At the same time, he has value in a trade.  Ship him out

I am not a Sully hater.  But I will say I am not pleased with his weight and his defense.  His weight I always had a "give him time" attitude about but it really seems like he puts weight on during a season.  It's ridiculous.  And his defensive effort had really fallen off and it hurt us.  The guys that have stepped in to play his minutes do hustle and it shows.

He is a guy who can produce.  But I'm not sure how much better he will actually get.  He may have the most value of our young players and he is the first I would choose to let go of as part of a deal.

Get him a personal chef. Diet is going to be the biggest factor here, especially while he rehabs his foot. Pay someone else to plan every bite he eats because he's not capable of it himself, everybody wins...

I think the chef is a great idea, and a hard personal trainer that would get results.   He still will be one of the slower and poorer jumping guys on the floor in a given night but he will also be one of the better set of hands and rebounders on the court at a time.  It would be nice to see him in shape for once instead of just seeing a shape grow throughout the season.
