Really starting to worry about Marcus Smart Offense.

There have been times where he has looked decent as a shooter, and down right awful as a shooter. I think he is somewhere in the middle. He'll obviously never be a knock down, go-to guy by any means beyond the arc, but I think he'll improve to the point it is a weapon.

What concerns me is that he barely can get to the basket. I thought coming out of college he would have had better instincts getting into the paint and creating some offense that way and he has not shown it whatsoever. I think it has something to do with his speed, he just doesn't have enough to blow by guys. I'm surprised at how slow he is, to be honest, there is many times where he's been caught from behind on the fast break.

I wouldn't read too much into this game.  The Cavs are the best team in basketball with 3 all-stars and we have a mismatched, overachieving roster.  Smart just made 2 great heads up plays there - it's just his scoring that's a problem.  He's averaging double figures since the all-star break, I'm not worried.

I love the blind Boston enthusiasm about this team, but it doesn't mean it's all that realistic.  They're practically doubling our score right now.

Smart's 4 assists, 2 rebounds, and a steal. He's 0 for 4, but he's been looking for other peoples offense first. He's been making the right pass and playing hard defense. It doesn't bother me. Everyone has days when their shot doesn't fall.

Especially rookies.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

this looks like us playing vs every team Lebron has ever played for. same effing crap! their dudes play with their hands all over our dudes or slap at players hands when they drive, so they become discouraged to drive(- hence all the jump shots). then on offense they all hold off the defender with the off-ball hand.

same effing crap! I'm so sick of the fake good Lebron's

Ehh, we're a jump shooting team in general.

I know but the sad part is we were taking it to the basket. but now we're discouraged because - why drive if they're getting fouled and it doesn't get called?

like I said i'm sick of the fake good Lebron's.

I mean, do you remember KG's "screens" during his time here?  It's part of the NBA.

Not really understanding the move. We need offense. By time he's in the game will be over.

I was fearing the worst .

Cavs are much much improved over the team that began the season ......remember. They have continually loaded up on the best players available  ...

So now they have more talent loaded than any three 500 win teams

Really hate losing to these guys. Actually, I just really hate losing to Lebron. I actually don't dislike Irving or Love.

Cavs announcer, "Mosgov is so big and good with the ball that Bass probably can't even jump high enough to touch it when he shoots."............ Bass literally beat Mozgov, who is nearly six inches taller than Bass, on the jumpball lol
