Marc D'Amico of the Celtics' official website notes the reaction is in the fourth metatarsal of Sullinger's left foot.

According to one podiatry site, "Stress fractures of the first to fourth metatarsal shafts typically heal well with rest alone and usually do not require immobilization."

Mark my words, Olynyk is going to come back and cement himself as the long term 4 of the C's to end  the season.

I think I would take that bet, I bet Jerebko outdoes him.

I think Jeberko has outplayed Olynyk thus far this season.

I can't believe people are celebrating over a person getting hurt that's just sad

Especially since Sullinger is a good player.

If anyone cares about odds, the 6th pick, (something I think could be easily attainable for us) increases our odds of a top 3 pick to 21.5% compared to 6% where we are right now at the 9th spot.

Actually looking at it, the 5th pick doesnt seem out of the question either.

Little chance we catch the TWolves, Knicks, Laker, or 76ers but everyone else is fair game
The Magic already have 39 losses so it is really going to be hard to catch them.  We really need them to lose a lot more and knock the Lakers to the 5th worst record.  Then we or someone else could jump the Lakers in the lottery and they would lose their 1st round pick.

Remiscent of Pierce being shut down. I predict Ainge makes a couple high profile trades this summer and we build around Sully, Smart and a few other guys on this team. We aren't playing for this year..... Disapointing nonetheless.

Well, he weighs 300 lbs so I'm not surprised. He really needs to do something about that weight.

My first thought is , here is chance for KO to step up his game , get tons of time.  Improve his game !

I luv Sully ,  but he just has to take care of himself better.

Big guys can go to the wright room too.   Lose the fat , add some muscle .

He needs another hobby besides FOOD .

Danny take a chance on Thomas Robinson.

I always liked him (despite him bouncing around) and I thought he was only only 6'8 but he's 6'10. Could definitely use him now.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

You absolutely do not build around Sully, you hope he comes back healthy next season and plays good then you trade him immediately.  These foot injuries will not go away, a big man with foot problems is never a good thing.

I thought they would look to trade him this offseason, but now that he is hurt he won't bring back much at all.

Completely disagree with the tank. A losing culture in the locker room can be hard to overcome if you allow it to continue.

Thomas will replace Sullinger's scoring.
The 5th worst record is possible, but 6th or 7th is more realistic. If you look at our schedule, we play some really horrible teams. My dream pick under that scenario is still Cauley-Stein. With regard to the lasting damage of tanking, younger Celtic fans should look at the 15+ years run of the San Antonio Spurs and how Duncan came to be a Spur in one of the most blatant tanks ever, other than Philly's latest effort.

TP I concur, his D is subpar and I think would hamper us against good post players.
