For those hoping to send Bass to Portland, Dorrell Wright and Joel Freeland still works.

Do the Blazers still have enough short term money to make an offer for Tayshaun?

They can offer him the minimum if he's released.  Same as Clippers.  They could also use the same package to acquire Prince instead of Bass if that made more sense to them.

It was that last part I was thinking of. Although Freeland is a decent big off the bench for PDX, and moving him for a 3/4 like Prince probably isn't as good roster-wise as using Freeland to get Bass.

It seems that of the two, Prince is more willing to be moved than Bass. I know most will say, "who cares?" but I'd like to keep Bass around.

Yeah, having moved Robinson already, trading Freeland too would be tough unless it were Bass coming back.  They'd have to hope for Prince to be bought out, and sell him better than the Clippers.

With Aldridge's thumb, I'd also think Bass fills a more pressing need.

Yep. I'd always maintained that both Bass and Prince would be great and low-cost additions to the Blazer rotation.

I'd be surprised if the Blazers moved Freeland. I think they really like him. We'll see.

additional scoring for the Blazers, and to back up Lillard maybe?

I think he is more of a back up to Matthews and Batum.

He can play the point in a pinch tho.  He's versatile.

He's a free agent next year however, so while they like him, they might not want to pay vet salary long-term for their 4th big in the rotation.  Or, if they do, they can always offer him the MLE to come back.
