Bradley has shown above-average NBA skills in both defense (consistently) and outside shooting (not as consistently).

Rivers hasn't shown much of anything.

Bradley is an NBA player, Rivers is struggling to prove that at this point.

Isn't he leading the league in the "current NBA player who is the son of a NBA coach" category?

More like the "current NBA player who is the son of Doc Rivers" category...

so, he is leading the league in at least one category.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I am still amazed the kind of player that Austin Rivers is (as well as his somewhat immature projection).  He is, in a lot of way, the anti-coaches son.  You'd think that Doc would have done better.

Bradley is a starting caliber SG.  Rivers struggles to be worthy of third string.

There is no VS....LOL.......there is no comparison at this point ...holy cow. :-[

AB is a highly paid professional ,  with a new contract that A respected GM thinks he is worth .  Someone with recognized skill by his peers .  Fought and worked his tail off to get his.

Compare that to ......Rivers ......who people are gifting  around like Xmas fruit cake .....something that practically nobody loves but momma Rivers......Doc will be in the dog house if he doesn't hire his little boy.

If you read the original post, we are not comparing Bradley today vs Rivers today. Its funny how quickly people forget what a project and how awful everyone (including myself) thought Bradley was before his fourth year. "Can't shoot, pass or rebound", "tunnel vision", etc.. some players take longer to develop and I hope that Rivers  turns out to be one of those.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

He still can't pass or rebound, and the tunnel vision is present. It just doesn't manifest as often, since he's at least gotten the good sense to get rid of the ball up to 1 dribble after he catches it. I guess a so-so long jumper still beats a hopelessly awful layup, though...

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.

I think Bradley is going to step up an be our leading scorer and a leader moving forward. He was like the No2 recruit out of High School. His Salary will be a steal in year 3 and 4.

Bradley, because he's a legitimate NBA player.  I don't think Rivers is.

TS- It didn't take Avery Bradley until his 4th season in the league to learn how to play. Do you not remember him taking Ray Allen's starting spot his second season in the NBA? And that was under Doc Rivers, a coach notorious for playing veteran guys over 1st and 2nd year players.

And it's kind of pointless to compare him and Austin in their 3rd yrs playing, when Bradley actually played better in his second season than he did in his third season-- most likely due to the offseason shoulder surgery he was recovering from in his 3rd yr, which you failed to  even mention. --Clearly Bradley's efficiency dropped way off between his 2nd yr and 3rd yr. Not to mention the fact that Austin is only half way through his 3rd season, so its not much of a comparison to make at this point.

Bradley all day over Austin Rivers though...he developed a good shooting stroke quicker, and played solid defense from the get-go...which is something Austin has not shown he is capable of.
