This thread WREAKS of "Yeah I'm bitter. So what?!?!"
But it also wreaks of fawning.  Kinda curious when the Marcus Smart tattoos will start to appear. Maybe once he starts averaging 7 points per game and 41% fg, but then again maybe you have to watch the games to know that about him.

But why even make the comparison at all?? How Smart is playing as a ROOKIE through thirty-some-odd games has nothing to do with Rondo's career. We are talking about two different players. So people like Smart?? This is a team that is not going to the playoffs and at this point is playing the kids to build for the future. So naturally, signs of growth in Marcus Smart's play will be noticed. Deal with it.

Oh and Newsflash:

Rondo is gone. He's gone. And he's not coming back. You need to find a way to make your peace with that realization.
It will take me a while to make peace with a horrid trade and with people crowning a bust

How many turnovers did Smart create tonight?

Seven or eight at least.

Forced players to travel, throw the ball away, step out of bounds, take a bad shot,...

He really is amazing.

And then he sinks that crazy falling out of bounds three at the end.

So are you saying Marcus Smart is meeting or exceeding your expectations for him this season? Is this what you thought we were getting draft night?

This makes complete sense, it's a shame some can't get past it. They just want to p--- on any sign of excitement Celtic fans may show after a nice win.

Now you know how Rondo fans have felt for the last decade. Welcome to our world. Get used to people pointing out every single possible little flaw, calling out attitude or effort or hustle. It's likely to go on for a very very long time. Ask Rondo.

Of course one difference is that Rondo was actually pretty good.

You do realize Smart has played like 23 games total in his NBA career so far right? And you're right. Rondo WAS good. Hasn't been any good in over 2 years now.

Apparently Rondo was an All-Star 23 games in.

If he's a poor man's Tyreke Evans that's fine with me.

Tyreke Evans isn't a good player, so what does that make a poor man's Tyreke Evans?  (Austin Rivers?)

The butthurt is strong in this thread. I'll ride the Marcus and Jae train into the future. Instead of worrying about guys that aren't on the team anymore.
If you like stat stuffers, the Evan Turner fan club isnt a shabby place.

Stat stuffers are guys that play with effort. That's how they stuff the stats. Smart wouldn't know anything about that

At this point I'm convinced you are trolling.

Just let this guy spew his garbage. Maybe he'll leave if no one responds back.
