Uh. Both Ainge and Stevens are handling this right.  Playing young right now serves zero short-term purpose unless we want to trade him.  We have clear objectives before the trade deadline. Young can get reps in the d league. He's not going to speak out. He's a 19 year old prospect. His time will come after the deadline.
Uh... no. He can get reps in the NBA, right now -- did he look particularly overwhelmed to you last time he took the floor?

But yes, he might be better off with the Red Claws, at least he has the chance of perhaps playing for a semi-competent coach.

He'll get his chance as soon as some of these veterans are gotten rid of. Won't be long now.

It's mainly because Young still has a long way to go on the defensive end. He would be too much of a liability on defense right now in meaningful minutes. He needs to bulk up and get a better feel for NBA defense.

Was he a defensive liability the last game?

Right now its seniority comes 1st more than anything

Young missed training camp and then got injured.

He will play after Green is traded.

All in good time, my pretty, all in good time.

Unless one of our fire sale trades brings back a SF worth minutes.

James Young will be active on Friday against the Pacers.
In his first real action on Monday, Young was fantastic with 13 points and three 3-pointers. He's a very big project on offense while his defense is a bit ahead for a rookie, but he could still have value in deep leagues. We'll let you know how he does tonight even though he won't see more than 20 minutes in most cases. Jan 9 - 5:53 PM

Did Grande say that part I used bold on? If so he needs to lay off the mid-day crack!

Celts wanted to deal J Green cuz they didn't want to pay him in July, but really cuz they wanted to play James Young. They LOVE James Young.

He may have just mistyped and accidentally switched offense and defense.

i'm fairly excited about the James Young era.

19 years old.  Legit size.  Great shooting ability.  Solid athleticism.  10 fingers.   I'm intrigued.
