I like what cbs is doing putting smart, crowder and KO out at the same time. If the game is tight in the 4th he might just let this trio finoah the game. When the he put the starters back with less than 4 min, it gave me a scare

Because Smart and Crowder are better than Bradley and Green.

It's pretty obvious.

He hustles but I think he has second round talent with a lot of heart.  You almost have to root for this kid.

Here's our favorite stat on Crowder for the night: According to the league's player tracking data, Crowder averaged a speed of 4.49 miles per hour during his time on the court. That's an insane number when you consider that starting swingman Jeff Green moved at a team-low 3.88 miles per hour and the league average appears to be closer to 4.2 miles per hour. Crowder goes full tilt when he's on the floor.
The Celtics own an offensive rating of 111.5 with Crowder, that's the best on the team among regulars (and 9.3 points better than the next-best mark on the team with Kelly Olynyk at 102.2 since the Rondo trade). The team's defensive rating is 101.1 with Crowder, meaning the team's net differential is plus-10.4 points per 100 possessions with him on the court. Olynyk is the only other regular in the positive at plus-2.4 since the Rondo swap.

He plays hard for sure but the record for human footspeed is  27.44 mph.   I am not sure I understand the data you posted in context of basketball.   I read once that Centers and Forwards run 4-5 mpg because they run baseline to baseline.  Still basketball has a lot of standing area, followed by sprints.

I was curious about it so, I looked up some more about it.

http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=1302496

here is some data from last year

Distance Traveled Per 48 min Leader:
Patty Mills 3.8 miles
Chris Johnson - 3.6 miles
Kelly Olynyk - 3.5 miles
Avery Bradley - 3.4 miles
Phil Pressey - 3.4 miles
Kris Humphries - 3.3 miles
Jerryd Bayless - 3.2 miles
Gerald Wallace - 3.2 miles
Brandon Bass - 3.2 miles
Rajon Rondo - 3.2 miles
Jeff Green - 3.2 miles
Jared Sullinger 3.1 miles

Average Speed Leader: Patty Mills 4.7 mph
Chris Johnson - 4.5 mph
Avery Bradley - 4.3 mph
Phil Pressey - 4.3 mph
Kelly Olynyk - 4.3 mph
Kris Humphries - 4.1 mph
Jerryd Bayless - 4.1 mph
Gerald Wallce - 4.0 mph
Jeff Green - 3.9 mph
Rajon Rondo - 3.9 mph
Jared Sullinger - 3.9 mph
Brandon Bass - 3.9 mph

just confirms my opinion more that Sullinger is  lazy and a poor athlete.

I could not find the info for this year, my google fu was poor, sorry.

But Crowder beats all these guys even Chris Johnson who played with a lot of effort last year.

Except Crowder has an actual NBA position.

Luckily, I do not give up easy.  I kept at it.

http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/speed/?sort=TEAM_ABBREVIATION&dir=-1

3.9 mph for Sully so has not improved his average speed one bit. But is moving .1 more a game so good for him.  Oly was same speed but moved .1 less.

I think Rondo was slacking at times, he is a way better athlete than he put forth on the court.  He basically admited that he was doing so.  One also has to realize he was hurt that year, because it was not this year but the year before.

He is traveling 3.4 miles per game this year.  And averaging 4.3 for his average speed.  This year.  So .2 miles more and his speed is up .4, so he has improved in that regard.

The best average speed guys are hustle guys.   4.9 was the leader, again Paddy Mills.   Cousins was the worst at 3.5, so is it even relevent?  The best player I seen that would be considered a good player was Troy Parker and Danny Green both at 4.5  so who knows.

I know he is not going to be a star or most likely not even a starter. however he is a great great bench presences. he  I think can be a mentor and is I think a good locker room presences. he is calling guys out and pushing himself. I want ainge to clear out veterans that our not going to be here long term aka jeff green, bass, nelson, wright. I want ainge to resign crowder. somewhere around 3 million a year for 3 years. I  think he lets the kids get their playing time while still being a leader which is really what the celtics need.

I recallcorrectly during the NBA combine, Crowder,  benched 185  like 20 times to put in context, Sully did like 9.  KO did it 5 times, so that ought to show you how hardworking and how much heart he has a player.

Crowder runs down a loose ball, while the other nine millionaires on the court watch.

I love this guy!
Who doesn't?

He already is something better: a hustler.
