only if they include irving and 2-3 first round picks.  ::)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Lebron for Jeff Green + Gerald Wallace works. Throw in a 2nd rounder if we need to get it done.

Why for Cleveland? They get two SF for just one. Wallace is a good locker room guy.

Why for Boston? Though Lebron is starting to show his age, moving to Boston will allow him to fullfill his dream in walking in the footsteps of the greatest SF ever - Larry Bird !

If Ainge actually ended up trading for Love now that would make his trade of Rondo look extremely stupid.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
This will be interesting to watch unfold.

Do they fire Blatt and promote Lue?

Do they trade waiter and or Thompson to get the center they need?

I personally think its to soon to fire Blatt but James will make that call. Lue is green as a coach but has alot more experience then Fisher or Kid and I do think he will excel at it.

Their roster will be interesting to fix because their 3 top players are a terrible match on D. Irving when really applying himself is an average NBA defender, Lebron is elite and Love is below average every day of the week. The fact that Love is poor defensive PF who cant play center eliminates what I thought was James biggest weapon. His ability to play PF at the end of games. Love isnt going anywhere this season so they just have to work with the pieces they can move.

My suggestions

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=och4832

costs them Thompson they get Sanders. At least this allows them to place two elite defenders (James and Sanders) on the court along side the current liabilities.

The other Piece that may need to fall will be Waiters. He doesnt seem to fit with Irving and James. He is a ball dominate attacking guard on a team in need of 3-D type players. I dont think their are many good trade options out their for him. AB would be a nice fit but I dont think the Cs would want to make that swap. Another option could be something like Stepelosha , Payne and a protected pick for Waiters.

Maybe a swap of AB/Wright for Waiters/First? I realize this isn't wonderful for the Cs, but it would be awesome for the Cavs. They add a hard-nosed defender who can knock down threes (and is signed to a reasonable deal) and an efficient, athletic big man.

Not true. Who's to say they get love now, and rondo comes back during FA, maybe that was the plan lol

I think Blatt gets fired if he keeps complaining about Lebron being the main ball handler for this team. Lebron just has to go to Gilbert once and Blatt is prob gone

Lue is a better option. He understands what is going on with the Cavs or Lebron Cavs and will work with the current not against it.

One guy that might not be happy about all of this is Irving.  But he prob knew something like this was going to happen when Lebron came on the team. Unless the cavs can get a C from overseas, Emeka Okafor etc. they will trade Waiters to get the big man/rim protector they need right now

One thing you should note, is that Lue is on the staff and is currently focused on the defensive end. That's the same end where the lack off effort is most glaring.

Probably the best thing they can do this year is to try to acquire somebody with the Bogans trade exception, and perhaps get an injury exception for Varejao.  Sign Okafor and Allen.  Use this year as a "gel" year, and try to reload using the Haywood contract in the off-season.

The effort is ok.  They need a rim protector, even just a decent center could do the trick.

Against the Pistons , they were getting beat up pretty good by Drummond and Monroe. Monroe had a bad shooting night but still made good passes from the post.

I expect them to get a decent center soon.  If it means trading one or both of Thompson and Waiters, that's what they will have to do.  For them with Lebron on the team, it's a win now worry about the future later mode.

I don't think the effort is okay at all.

Dion, Irving, LeBron, and Love all just watch a whole lot on defense.

Blatt = Trestman?

Kidding aside, I didn't think they would be able to put it all together in year one.  As Roy just mentioned, try & get the team to gel but its going to take time.  Once they get the right supporting cast in place, this is going to be a scary team.  I just don't think they have the right supporting cast right now.  Plus, they look pretty sloppy on the defensive end & I don't quite think they've figured out the best way to play offense with Irving/Lebron out there.

I guess their defense stinks when they won 8 in a row not too long ago.  Also just when Varejao got injured it got worse on the defensive end.

They need a center.
