The Rajon Rondo sweepstakes isn't just limited to teams in Texas. The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly offered the Boston Celtics multiple draft picks and Steve Nash's expiring contract in a proposed trade for Rondo, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

Lakers offer for Rondo was Nash & multiple picks. They have Houston's first in 2015 from Lin trade

multiple draft picks?  2nd rounders?

Lakers just need to offer Nash + Randle and this is a done deal, imo.  Rondo's trade value is minimal... if you can get another great prospect like Randle, it's about as good as it's going to get.

Those picks are so far away it's just not worth it.  Rondo and Green would be perfect for LA but they just don't have anything worth taking back.

wouldn't those picks be necessarily far into the future? i think the lakers have already traded a number of their picks.

These low-ball offers are getting ridiculous.

Rondo and Green
for
Lin, Nash, Randle, a pick and then maybe we can talk.

Rondo + Wallace for Lin's expiring, Nash's expiring, Randle and their 2015 1st rounder is the type of wide-eyed crazy offers I'd come up with several months ago when the belief still lingered that Rondo had trade value.   Now that his value has been exposed as a late 1st rounder and a backup big, the best you could dream for is Nash + Randle... and that's likely way too much for the Lakers to give up.  Maybe if we included the Clippers pick, it would happen.

Absolutely. Randle is an elite prospect. Rondo is a role player that will be a FA at the end of the year.

Rondo is not worth a lot so we will only be getting low ball offers.

Why would any team trade anything other then late 1st rounds / 2nd round and average players for Rondo? No team is going to go beyond that.

Reality is Rondo at the end of his contract is not worth another player anywhere near Rondo's talent.

It's the best we are going to do IMO . If Danny is trading Rondo I want a prospect with upside back . Yes Randle is out for the year ,  but when healthy is pretty athletic and skilled around the hoop .

Sully is going to be up for a contract after next year , so Randle and Sully can battle it out . I want to keep KO as of now.

We obviously trade Bass and Green after that and hopefully fall into a top 5 draft pick

Core

PG: Smart
SG: Bradley     / Young
SF:                  /
PF: Sully          / Randle
 C: Zellar         / KO

*Top 5-10 pick 2015
  Clips pick 2015
  2016 1st rd pick
  2016 Brooklyn
  2017 Net/Swap
  2018 Nets 1st rd pick
  2018   1st rd pick

Plus we would have enough cap room to offer 2 max contract I believe .

three team deal, Lakers, Suns Celtics

Lakers get Rondo

Celtics get Lakers 2015 pick no lottery limitations( why Suns are in the trade) Lakers 2018 first
Nash, Randle

Suns get Jeff Green

Suns start
Dragic
Bledsoe
Green
Markief
Len

Have Marcus come off bench

Celtics
Next year have the Kentucky all American team

Smart
Avery
Towns
Randle
WCS

Kelly and Sully off the bench.

Crazy idea I know but hey that's a fair trade for all three teams and we still have a boat load of picks plus high potential.

Edit: get rid of Wallace to Portland and give them Clippers first this year for taking on Wallace.
Trade bass for a 2nd rounder to someone

Yeah but on the flip side, if the best you're going to get is either Nash and a pick or Wright and a pick, then why even trade him at all?

Let him walk then, no need to get Randle,  first of all you calling Randle elite is a joke.  How many games has he played this season? Name me all the "elite" players in nba, curious to see who you pair Randle with in elite. And even worse you call rondo a role player

Rondo is worth Randle and a First Round (unprotected)

Nash is worth Brian Scalabrine and tickets to Niagra Falls.
