The Celtics learned more in that one game then they did in all games previous.  and Brad Stevens learned something even more important.  He learned you don't need Rondo to compete with other players in this league

If every time a coach left some players in there to win or lose a game (because of the heart and fight they are showing) he learned he didn't need his star player this would be a very interesting league.

would you say that is very Pop like?

say in a theoretical world where the trades and picks still happened except Doc was still here

would you think he would've inserted Rondo, Sully and Bradley back in the game?

I think it was game 4 of the 2010 Nba finals where the bench wad having a great game and Doc held back the starters until the bench completely cooled off. Now granted he put the starters back in but he really showed a lot of trust in his bench.

Unfortunately, he didn't do it often enough.

Ummm.  We did lose the game.  Scoreboard.
However hopefully our younguns got a growing experience and get that much better.

As for Rondo.... I'll let someone else take up that debate.
I feel he is a star player who needs a star cast around him to shine.
Doesn't look like Boston can give that to him so I wouldn't blame him if he left as a free agent.

Do you somehow think this is the first time Stevens has coached without Rondo on the court?
