I choose Green only because of Rondo's inability to score.

I posted a thread claiming that all three of those guys are currently top ten in the NBA at their respective positions.  Naturally, that claim was met with quite a bit of dismay and dismissal.  I still hold that this is a true statement, and it led me to wonder which one of these guys do folks generally feel is our best player right now.

I'm very interested to see the results.

I can't see how this would be debated. Top 5 you could debate but its not likely. The only thing holding them back is our record but I'm sure no one has any problems putting Drummond, Jefferson, Hibbert, Hayward, or Dwill at the top of some list.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Rondo and Green hands down. Probably Green more because he's been more consistent thus far in the season over Rondo. But when Rondo shows up to play, he is undeniably the best player on the team and possibly on the court

Btw, reading some of the comments here and there in the forum these days makes me happy there was no inet in the 80s.
I am sure there would have been plenty of threads like 'Bird can't shoot', 'trade Larry for Ralph Sampson', 'Auerbach has no clue'.

I mean, if you don't think it's Rondo, I would like to arrange a deal with your regular supplier of medicinal and recreational treats.

I guess I should add this qualifier, though: Rondo's doing a hell of a job playing himself out of the best player on the team discussion during fourth quarters so far.

This year it has been Jeff Green without a doubt.

Should be Rondo but he isn't playing like it yet this season. Could be the injury.

He's not playing like Rondo (100%), but he's still easily our best player this season.

Rondo he's asked to do more than any player on the team.

Most impressed with his rebounding this year. He's 41st in the entire NBA at defensive rebounding rate as a PG. Among players listed as "guards" only Lance Stephenson is pulling in more defensive boards than Rondo. He's also bounced back on the offensive glass to near his career average after a down year off his injury.

The poll even gives us the correct ranking! In terms of overall effectiveness, and accounting for position, I would rank them

1. Rondo
2. Green
3. Sullinger
4. Bass
5. Bradley
6. Zeller
7. Turner
8. Olynyk
9. Thornton
10. Wallace
11. Smart
12. Pressey
