Three years in college. Still only managing 8ppg, 6rpg and 1.7bpg.

Has he really shown much improvement in last 3 years? His numbers seem pretty steady over course of his college career.

Seems strange for a legit 7 footer with his athleticism to be in college for so long. And even worse, to still be producing so little.

He is one of the few NBA caiber prospects in the NCAA who can not be judged my his stats. Since his freshman year he has always been on a team with so much talent that he is not the focus of the offense and with so much depth that he isn't playing the typical 1st rd pick minutes. To me he is already playing his NBA role in the NCAA and I expect a similar statistical output from him as a pro. I expect WCS to be a near replica of Chandler whose career stats are 9pts 9rb 1.5blk per.

This is partially true, his freshman year Kentucky was AWFUL! didn't even make the tourney and got washed out by Robert Morris in the first round of the NIT.  Last year, there was talent but they under achieved the whole season until March.  In my eyes, he is nothing more than a Fab Melo or Ryan Hollins type of player.  He is NOT worth a first round pick.  He is a crazy athlete with limited basketball skills...

WCS might be a guy we take later in the draft.   I do not see him being in the lottery.

This certainly seems like a possibility - with picks from Cle, LAC, and #31 from Philly, we should easily be able to move up. I am still not sure where we will land (I really do think we are better than our record) so he may be a viable option. Given our team needs, he is just what the doctor ordered (totally lame, I know).

To clarify, our pick from Cleveland is in 2016.  I also do not think he'll be there at 31 for the Philly pick, but depending where the Clippers pick ends up, I think it's possible we could package the two of them to move up to get him.  I think he'll go somewhere in the 10-20 range, more likely closer to 20 than 10, however.

we have two picks for next year (or is it 3?, one of ours, BKN, and LAC?)

WCS is a mid first rounder and not a lotto pick imo. I would pick him with our 2nd 1st pick

We have our pick and the Clippers pick.  In 2016 we get Brooklyn's pick.  2017, right to swap with BKN.  2018, we get Brooklyn's again.

I would definitely gamble on him, just by seeing that intensity and fluidness. He may be raw, but that can be removed by a routine of hard work. The guy's got instincts, those can't really be taught.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Nothing like those uncoordinated imbeciles. Have you even watched him, he has an actual basketball IQ and knows how to play defense. He's way less raw than Deandre Jordan was for comparison

I'd rather take Myles Turner. If you don't know him look him up.

Edit: After we take Towns though

this is the homework you could have done. took less than a minute and adds a lot to a post.

I doubt he will be available outside the lottery though.

The tablet I'm using is horrible to write on and is generally the reason for my short posts. I'm also used to my macbook.
BTW I have already used dx and nbadraft.net and other sources to talk about Turner and other prospects. But on my limited and slow tablet I am going to let the fan search his name or search our forums for his details....although my assessments about Turner were from before and during the summer and season.
Also I can't tell if your being patronizing to me..

I've seen Cauley Stein three times this year, and I'm not sure exactly who will be available with our pick.  I haven't seen most of the eligible guys more than once, but WCS is a guy that if I'm being realistic, I could accept as the best choice with our first pick if we finish the season strong.

Case against: junior, lack of stats improvement, benefits from pro teammates, stamina untested

Case for: Smooth 7 footer with elite rebounding, length and rim defense and a solid J to 18 feet

He's playing under 24 mins and averaging over 10 pts a game on under 7 shots with 6.6 rebounds a game playing next to another 7 footer along with 1.7 blocks & steals each, and a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio.

That's a per 36 of 15 pts on 10 shots along with, next to a 7 footer, 10 reb, 2.5 blk and 2.5 stl

There's questions about picking a junior over a top freshman or sophomore, and questions about how much playing with Towns against most of America is going to make him look dominant, but this guy seems to possess everything we talk about when fantasizing about a rim defender.  He has the size, length, speed, quickness, athleticism and instincts to be elite.

Offensively, his ceiling is above Tyson Chandler because he can shoot at the with range out to 15-18 feet, I've seen it consistently, allowing Sully to thrive inside against a power forward, or roam near the basket if Olynik is in creating passing and driving lanes, setting screens and being a real threat to grab boards.  He has some scoring ability inside too.

Right now, Towns, Okafor, Mudiaye, Stanley Johnson, Winslow, Looney, Harrell are the guys I'd consider ahead of him, but I need more due diligence and more games to get more educated.

2023 Non-Active, Non-NBA 75 Historical Draft, SAB Bulls:

PG: Deron Williams 08 / John Wall 17
SG: David Thompson 78 (HOF) / Hersey Hawkins 91
SF: TMac 03 (HOF) / M.R. Richardson 81 / Tayshaun 07
PF: Larry Nance Sr 92 / Blake Griffin 14
C: Lanier 77 (HOF) / Brad Daugherty 91 / Camby 07
