Well if you're a Celtics fan who is also in favor of tanking, then this loss was beneficial!  ;D

Basically, a win/win situation for some!

Some positivity..

KO is averaging over 13 pts a game (will go up after tonight). Hasn't shot under 50% yet. That's crazy especially with the 3s he takes

No tank just a really bad defensive team with no one to close games out.

olynyk seems to have become an ultra-efficient player, and he's even been making some nice defensive plays as well. i still think he needs the ball in his hands more on offense though.

Don't get me wrong they choked... but this isn't a tank job, unless a tank job is the refs kissing Lebron's you know what and making blatantly awful calls/non calls.

What slowed the Celtics down in the fourth quarter was the officials, they made it seem like nothing the Celtics were doing was working. all they had to do was call those fouls and non fouls at strategic times and put the Cavs back in the game.
I watched this game twice now and no troll is going to say the C's tanked this game!!!

No tank... we just don't get it done down the stretch.  Defensively inept team that scores a lot due to a shifty roster, but is prone to dry spells due to their lack of go-to guy.  That's what I thought was so comical about the game Rondo didn't play... we almost lost the game down the stretch and someone commented, "well that's what happens to the offense when Rondo isn't there"... Had to laugh.  Rondo presence has never been one to prevent a late-game meltdown.

Stevens went small in the fourth.
That never works.

Precisely. The more Rondo tries to be the man, the worse his influence in clutch situations.  KO will be a go-to guy and, down the road, perhaps Young as well.

He may have slipped to 11th in the league on 3pt% tonight, but KO has been the only player in the top 10 for both FG% and 3pt%. (The only other players who have been close are his idol Dirk and old friend Courtney Lee.)

Rondo is not the guy you want with the ball in the last two minutes.

This.

You want your best scorer with the ball in the last two minutes.
Rondo chokes every time.

He's also come up with some big hustle rebounds at unexpected times. I agree, he needs to touch the ball more often on offense even if he's not taking the shot. He almost never makes the wrong decision when the ball goes through him, and the only hesitancy in his game is when he is deciding whether to take a shot. Though, that is much improved this season as he seems a lot more confident.

I'm glad he's on my fantasy team - only cost a buck!
