  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Avery Bradley is taking up wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy tooo much salary cap space to be playing the kinda defense hes been playing this year Instead of Trade Rondo how about we trade Bradley?

I think Bradley is trying to do too much.  He needs to stay within himself and be a 3 and d guy.

I actually think they've told Bradley to go out there guns blazing.
1)They want to find out if he's ready to take the next step or whether he'll be a trade chip, and they want to find out before Rondo is a free agent.
If he turns into more of a stud this season then that might make it easier to let Rondo walk if he has a bad season or they can't agree on a contract.
2) if Rondo stays, then Bradley's trade value has gone up anyway if he has a good season.

I just can't see us keeping all 3 guards.
Other option is that Marcus Smart is traded for a player that no one else on our roster would be able to get in return and they keep Rondo and Bradley.

We shall see.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

except the way that danny ainge paid him leads me to believe that he is the Revis Island of the Celtics pick the opponents best scorer and shut him down not seeing it

He's done a fantastic job overall defensively - his defence has been suffocating in spurts, but the officials have been penalising him every time he applies full court pressure...but he's been making a lot of players uncomfortable.  It's expected that he's not going to be able to apply that type of pressure all day every day...but he's been picking his spots.

After yesterday's game he's also averaging 20.5 points (50% FG, 39% 3PT) and 4 rebounds per 36.

Still too small a sample size to really say anything because obviously the game time pumped up his averages.

That said he did just score a career high 32 points against a legit playoff team...so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until we have a sample size of at least 10-15 games.  After all if the sample size is too small to judge how good his stats are, then it's also too small to judge the positives, then it's also too small to judge the negatives.

hard to say there's anything to really be disappointed about.  they're actually playing better than I expected.

If I had to pick something/someone I'd probably have to say I was expecting more progress from KO this year.  that as an individual that I expected more from and from a team prospective, I'd like less TOs.

Naturally I'd like more but those are the things that stand out to me that I think they have the ability to improve on.  Internal D needs drastic improvement but I don't think that will improve with our current roster

Coaching and turn overs, Coach Stevens is quickly becoming a disappointment.

Please explain! I agree with your turnovers statement, but Stevens is a disappointment? He's not Jesus we still are a very untalented team and he is getting every inch of talent he can get out of these guys. But I'm sure you're thinking very rationally after a tough loss.

Guess I had higher hopes for him is all. Play calls at the end of games/quarters seem poor to me, sometimes as if there are none. The teams effort level has been inconsistent and to me that is a coach thing. I don't expect a lot other than the team to play with great effort but I'm just not seeing that. I'll also add that teams have way to many time outs, but CBS does not seem to use them quickly enough or at all to change the flow of the game or for that matter to kick his team in the ass. Lastly I don't care if your team sucks but in professional sports you should not continue to make stupid mistakes.

Basically all I ask is:
Play hard
Play smart

Don't think that is asking for the moon.
