Watched the first half of Miami vs Charlotte last night.
Unimpressed with the Heat offense. Too much reliance on isos / post play from Wade and Bosh. Too much one-on-one player and not enough team offense. Too much reliance on Norris Cole (a mediocre backup PG) to get others involved which he is not talented enough to do by himself. Wade has to take more responsibility as a creator (rather than scorer) and they got to get Deng more shot attempts off of quick movements. Deng invisible on offense for large portions of the game.
On the Bobcats, I really liked what I saw from Cody Zeller. Looks much more comfortable and confident. Played some very good defense on Chris Bosh. Was quick enough to stay in front of Bosh and had enough size to bother Bosh while he was shooting. Active on the boards also. Zeller took a couple of midrange jump shots too so it looks like that is an area he has been working on. Played well within team offense. Passed well, cut well, ran in transition, finished around the basket. Once Zeller gets that jump-shot down, he is going to be really useful offensively.
