Any team that beats the Lakers helps the Celtics.

No, any team that the Lakers beat in their current situation helps the Celtics...so the Lakers weaken their chances of getting a top 5 draft pick!

Lakers need to win.  I want them to finish 4th or 5th worst record so there's a chance they drop to 6th in the lottery and lose their pick.  If not, I've got a bad feeling that they'll end up with Okafor or Towns.

I'd love to catch the Bucks in the six spot or just get in the playoffs, but if we end up on the outside I'd prefer to be behind Utah record wise. Just one way to rationalize the Jazz win.

No, any team that beats the Lakers beats the Lakers. I'm all for realistic expectations and such, but you can't take that away from me. I won't root for a Lakers victory.*

For some reason, I'm not totally terrified of facing ATL if we stay at 8th seed.

Endless TP's from me.  Rooting against the Lakers is both emotionally satisfying AND realistic.  The draft is a crapshoot people.  How many top 10, 5, 3, or even top 1 draft picks have been busts?  A couple years ago the Lakers had a top 2 center that was picked at #10 (I think).

One or two spots in the draft is not going to make or break the Lakers, they're a FA team anyway.  Rooting for the Lakers to win is in no universe worth those 1-2 spots (ESPECIALLY considering how embarrassing it is when they get blown out).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I absolutely hate how Lebron closes games anymore. He tries to do it all himself in hero ball mode. It's like him or Kyrie have to iso every time down the court.

Top 5 picks are much more likely to be successful.  Stars rarely come from picks outside the top 10.  The Lakers traded their 1st rounder (top 5 protected) so if it falls to the 6th pick in the lottery they lose it this year.
