Confession: I never have, and never see myself in the future, either liking Doctor Who, or understanding why people actually like Doctor Who. I do not understand that show's appeal at all, and I find it almost unbearable to sit through 2 straight episodes.

The classic series, while possessing some good storylines, looks dated in the digital era. Often laughably so. Pacing and plot filler was also an obvious problem at times.

IP, if you have Netflix, try the Baker story "Pyramids of Mars." Season 9 or 10, maybe? I thought that one was one of the better ones. One of my favorites.

I liked the first season of the reboot with Eccleston, but thought Tennant brought the show to new heights. Found Smith unwatchable. I'm not really even interested in watching the latest season.

I kinda agree - when it's on it's fine albeit a little cheesy, but a decent time-waster.  But I've never thought, or related to others thinking, "Oh my gosh can't wait for the new Dr Who to come on!!!"

...that's true of almost every fandom, to be fair.  Except for Mr Belvedere/Brocktoon.
