After opening some eyes in the Orlando summer league, Mike Moser said Friday that he has received an invitation to Boston Celtics training camp, but isn't sure yet whether he will accept it.

“(The Celtics) were really excited about my progress," he said. "Danny Ainge had a lot of nice things to say about me."

Though Boston concluded the summer league at 3-2 with a 95-86 loss to the Pacers in the third-place game, Moser pitched in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Scoring from inside and out, leading the occasional fast break, and hitting more 3-pointers over the week (11) than anybody else on the roster, the forward posted averages of 13.6 points and 4.8 rebounds. He was active and productive all week, fighting for rebounds and post positioning with admirable energy.

I'll take him over Bogans, Johnson and Babb. Hopefully we find a taker for Bogans non-guaranteed deal so we can keep him.

can't we just waive Bogans?  I know it would be better to get something for him, but either way he won't be on the roster come training camp right?

That's my question as well.  He's almost like Boston's version of Jamaal Tinsley or Eddie Curry in this regard ;D

We don't have to waive him for a while.
Danny is hanging on to him in case he has some trade value.

Either way bogans won't be on the roster, so if Moser continues his play I don't see why he couldn't get a spot over Johnson Babb or bogans and honestly I hope the celts end up with Evan turner. At this point it's play it out and hope for next year's free agent class.  Honestly I'm flabbergasted at the approach so far.

I think the deadline is the end of December.

He earned an invite.   I wish he could transition to SF.  He is undersized at PF.

Maybe he can.
Or maybe he can be a stretch 4 like Posey.

He has some trade value because he's 5 million that you can waive instantly. I was just saying I hope he gets the right trade so we can keep moser.
