Makes zero sense, we already have a plethora of guards.
true, but Waiters would have been the best pure scorer on the Celtics last year.  Something the team desperately needs (which is why I think they drafted Smart).

If the Celtics wanted a player like Dion Waiters, they could have just kept MarShon Brooks.
Waiters is significantly better than Brooks.  Not even close.

And like it or not Waiters 19.3 points per 36 would have led the Celtics by 1.6 a game (not to mention he was a more efficient scorer than Jeff Green who did in fact lead the Celtics in scoring).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

What most of you dont understand is your taking a low risk on a guy with big potential on a good contract..

And for those that say there are too many guards.. Well every keeps thinks Rondo is getting traded so thats called insurance.. Smart looks aweful offensively so I dont trust him on the floor.. Young is 18 and prob wont see the court this year.. so by my calculations The Celtics have Rondo and Bradley with Smart playing limited minutes..
