If he's getting people's hopes up in Cleveland, he'd better deliver and not crush hopes again.
He probably will.

RT @WindhorstESPN: For four years, Dan Gilbert's LeBron letter has lived on team website. Appears was removed today: http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/gilbert_letter_100708.html

The part about the letter being removed isn't the news to me.It's the fact that it's been on the site for FOUR years..were they planning on keeping it up forever lol. I can only imagine the scathing letter that would be posted if Lebron doesn't decide to go there  ;D

I could be wrong but I just don't think he goes back to Cleveland.

I think he either stays in Miami or him and Melo pull off another "big 3" coup and join Kobe in LA.

Lebron has to go to Cleveland

I know I know....threads..too many.

This is really specific though.

It would be hard to fathom Lebron getting a cities hopes up. He had to have learned. Get ahead of stuff. This possible homecoming story is getting too big already. Every minute another Cav fan is starting to believe...and the media is feeding them. Lebron HAS to know this. He HAS to know that even if he announced right now that he goes back to the Heat a herd of folks are going to rightfully slam him.

Fool me once kinda thing

I got a lot of pride driving LeBron outta Cleveland. Watched the moment it happened.

But .......
This would hurt.
I hope he goes to Cleveland. As a fan of sports it would be a good story ...if he doesn't...he really waited too [dang] long. He knows the media. He knew this was coming.

Hard to believe it's NOT Cleveland

I wrote this in another thread - I would actually appreciate LeBron if he went back to Cleveland. I might actually cheer for him and see his talents in a different way. I think the way he spurred them back in 2010 was so wrong. I think if he goes back then all is well in NBA land - except on South Beach.

If you know, why the new thread? Merging it.

That makes zero sense ???

Anyway

I'm just focused on the he can't turn back now. Folks talking about what his decision will be.
If it's NOT Cleveland and he let it go on this long I'll be shocked.
The feel good story is too [dang]ed good and he got his rings and kept his part of the deal with the devil (Reily).
Time to go home.
His advisers cannot be so detached from the media and it's effects on an image repaired....can they? ???

Its a non-story that was blown up by ESPN and the like.

This.

LeBron isn't leading them along, he's been silent and his agent has met with several teams. That's what every free agent does largely. This is a media creation from the rumors starting with Cleveland Hip Hop and Cleveland Sports Radio to ESPN amplifying those initial rumors.

Have to say I'd root for LeBron to get "1" more ring if he does it for Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland has been tortured long enough.

Twit that and everybody extrapolates what they want and he has some shade to sit under if the glare gets too strong when he decides whatever he decides.

Saying the media made this is skipping over the "made" part.

A) Cleveland is desperate for LeBron to come back.

B) ESPN is desperate for stories, especially ones they can self-perpetuate, now that there's a lull between major sports activities

C) LeBron's not allowed to say anything to anyone anyway

=

LEBRON'S OBVIOUSLY GOING TO CLEVELAND!

I would be shocked if James goes anywhere. He can always go "back" to his hometown state on the next contract.

He's going to stay with the Heat, I'd guess.

I think Melo might legitimately go to Houston, though I also suspect he'll stay with the Knicks.

Woj reporting on the story gives it credibility for me.  But he is careful to say his agent is making moves for it.

I think there is a legit chance.  I can obviously see why he would leave if they can't get more help.  Wade is not going to be worth what he will end up being paid.  I am not sure how he gets better going forward.
