I think it would be something like:

Dragic+Bradley to Indiana

Lance stephenson+Plumlee+Warren to Boston

Rondo+Green+Olynyk+pick to Suns

I think I would quit basketball if that trade happened.

If that happens, we raid Ainge's house.

Sean Deveney trying to pour cold water on the report:

Excerpt: According to an ESPN report, the Pacers — looking to upgrade at point guard — have engaged the Suns in talks about a possible deal that would send Dragic to Indiana. Consider those talks to be decidedly one-sided.

What if our return is not a PG, SG or SF and just picks.  Maybe Hibbert if we are lucky.  Knowing that Anige has a deal in place for Houston.

Boston gets a 1st or no first but they take Rondo/Wallace, for Hibbert.   Out is Rondo/Green
Boston gets Lin/Parsons for Bogans/Pressy/Babb

Then we have tons of cap room next year.

Lin/Smart
Bradley/Johnson/Young
Green/Parsons
Sulley/Bass
Hibbert/KO/Victor/Joel

What is Phoenix salary cap? I thought they had plenty of room
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

That sounds about right.  Oh well, fun to speculate.

Wont happen.

Stephenson didnt sign a 5 year 44 mill deal. Danny is not paying 10 to 11 for a clown

Maybe a 4th team can be involved

To pacers: dragic, derrick williams
To phx: rondo, green
To kings: stephenson
To celts: thomas, len, copeland,  1st pick

No idea where else to put this:

Teams and agents agree: Outside of role players now, the market is frozen until Miami's free agents and Carmelo Anthony make decisions.

I wouldn't help facilitate a trade for Bird & the Pacers.  If Phoenix wants Rondo, fine.  I'll trade you Rondo and you can do your Dragic trade alone with the Pacers.

Suns- Rondo
Celtics- Bledsoe + Plumlee

I said this all along..Nothing will happen much in til Melo signs somewhere then look out, the dominoes will fall quickly..thats why u didn't see any players traded on draft night, except Affalo
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Dragic to Indy
Rondo to Phoenix
Lance and picks to Boston?
Not sure what the point is, if I were Boston, I'd love to get Dragic (who can play both guard spots and addresses a need) instead of Stephenson.

Why this matter for teams not pursuing melo or lebron

The Pacers have little in the way of assets and the Suns have a ton of cap room.  The Pacers trying to bring the Celtics into a deal feels like an attempt to get assets that the Suns will want.  The cheapskate Suns like draft picks.

So, one logical deal is the Pacers trying to get a first round pick from Boston for Ian Mahinmi, so they can flip the pick to Phoenix in a deal for Dragic.  While the Pacers would like to dump George Hill as part of the deal, I don't think that is happening.

The Pacers would like to send Mahinmi and another salary (Scola or Copeland) to Boston, Dragic would go to Indiana, and the Suns would get a first from each team.  Maybe Phoenix would take on Brandon Bass or Joel Anthony.

I don't think Ainge goes for that deal, but it's the sort of offer that I could see Bird coming up with.

Because agents representing other players want the best deal possible, so not taking offers til all the teams that miss out on Melo/LeBron have their money available is the smartest route.

The teams that chase after Lebron and Carmelo and fail are the teams most likely to hand out a big payday to the next tier of free agents, so those guys are going to wait and see if they can become the next consolation prize and get a big contract the way Carlos Boozer got one from Chicago.
