What Celtics fans should hope for starting tonight is CHAOS!

  By chaos i mean both Lebron and Carmelo choosing to leave Miami and N.Y..  This will create many scenarios where the celtics can help facilitate deals no matter where they choose to play next year! 

  If Melo chooses to go to Houston you might see the 10.3 TPE for Lynn, possibly a Parsons deal, or maybe Melo wants Rondo and you see a harden for Rondo + Sully(etc.) deal or something!

  If Melo chooses Chicago maybe the C's get involved and return Mcbuckets!

  If Lebron chooses the clippers maybe the celtics send  Bogans, other non guar., 1sts, sully(etc.) for Deandre Jordan to clear space for Lebron!

  If Lebron chooses Cleveland if and only if they get Love! Then they will need help and the C's could end up with any number of players!  Waiters, Hawes, maybe even wiggens (lol fantasy)
 
  The C's are in the best position in the league to be a middle man in these type deals and could return some really nice assets through 1 or both of Carmelo or Lebron changing teams!  If both stay with their current teams the off season could be much less fruitful.

 Lets hope they do switch teams and maybe just maybe the C's starting lineup next year is something like:  Smart, Harden, Green, Olynyk, Jordan....

Both wont decide until at least after July 5th IMO.... until then, its gonna be slow

  Lebron and Carmelo are very likely to make up their minds quickly so that their new teams have all of the options available to them!  The longer they wait the more likely other trades will affect their new teams options!  Trades may not be finalized for up to 2 weeks but the deals will likely be in place ASAP!

ESPN is reporting that Lebron wants max money.

That would imply the Heat.

Hard to say how quickly they make up their minds. Lebron may let Riley work on some stuff to see what the team will look like, hard to say if Wade and Bosh have already agreed to take less. I'd love to see the cHeat break up. ;)

IMO I hope that the big 3 return to Miami.  If that happens, there are going to be a lot of teams striking out in free agency, and when these teams start panicking we may be able to work out a sweetheart deal for Rondo.

Except, the Heat can't pay LeBron max money AND re-sign Bosh and Wade to the contracts they will want...and "get them some help", AKA bring in Melo.

I want Lebron out west and Melo in Houston.  Let them battle with the Spurs.

2nd choice is Melo to Chicago and Big 3 stay in Miami.  They may be contenders for a year or two but the supporting casts in both towns are continuing to decline ( Wade/BOSH and Melo/Noah)

I think the worst thing for us is if LeBron and Melo or LeBron and. Bosh team up with young players in Cleveland or Philly.  They would be good for a long time.

Free agency doesn't even excite me anymore because we have no money and we are too far away to bring in guys like Gasol.

I hope the Heat and Knicks overpay their stars and are too strapped to bring in help but that's about all I'm hoping for...it'd be especially sweet seeing crumbling Wade and his untraceable contract years from now.

If the reports are true about LeBron wanting a max contract, can you imagine the "meeting" with Wade and Bosh the other day:

LeBron - "so, I want max money and I'd like you guys to take bigger paycuts so Riles can get ME some help"
