I mean guys with a natural sweet stroke. And handles and athleticism to take it all the way to the rack when needed. It's usually one or the other and you have guy like Bryant and MJ who developed a nice jumper and then it's usually game over.

James Young my first impression is he's a shooter. Which is good. Although someone needs to explain to me why his FG% was .407% maybe he shot a ton of threes. Post that if you can his shot chart. He looks like a guy if he can really improve his handle we may have something, but he finishes really awkward and  not confident driving to the bucket I also think that's because he's skinny and  he's afraid of the big's coming.

Ray Allen's weakness was the same thing. It seems like it would be unfair if the Reggie Millers, Ray Allen's, Del Curry's if they could get to the rim at will.

Even Big bad D Wade never a great shooter. Incomplete two guard. Awesome. But Incomplete.

Mich Richmond was close. He really had it all in his prime. And could defend too.

Ray could take it to the hole in Seattle. I remember fans there being surprised by that.  He was known as a shooter, but in his prime he could do it all.

Vince Carter and JR Smith are good examples of guys that could do both and they could have been even better. As good as Vince was he could have been an all time great with more heart.

Westbrook!!! He is no PG!!

He is a shooting guard with a good stroke who can take it to the rack!!! OKC needs a PG.

Young's not afraid of contact - he's just not a very good ball-handler and not all that explosive.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger
PF: Pau Gasol/Al Horford
C: Yao Ming/Tyson Chandler

I don't agree that most of the guys mentioned can really stroke it on a pure shooter level.  Ray is the guy who belongs on this list.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
If your talking pure shooters who could Dunk.  Brent Barry and Ray Allen are pretty much it in my mind. Ray Allen is known as a shooter, but he definitely had some hop to his step.

Guys like Kobe, T-Mac, Vince are scorers  more then they are shooters. Rose and Westbrook are far from guys who can "stroke it". When you say "Stroke it" I think of guys like Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Steve Kerr, Guys who their best weapon is a jump shot that you can never leave open.

he shoots more 3's than midrangers by far.

he's money from that corner.

we just need to park him at the left corner and let rondo find him.

Clyde "the Glide" Drexler.

Great going to the rack. Great shooter (more mid-range than 3 pt). Gotta love the Glide!

Clyde was great at dunking but definitely not a great shooter.  Not even above average in my opinion.

Reggie Lewis

sweet, lean back 17 foot jumper and could go to the hole and put it down
