Rookie of the Year usually goes to the rookie with the highest ppg, so your prediction should be a rookie who is going to start and be one of his team's top scoring options.

If I had to pick my top 3 it would be Gordon, Parker, and Noel..
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I really like Smarts chances to win it whether we trade Rondo or keep him. Preferably keep him

There is a good chance that Smart will be coming off the bench behind Rondo and Bradley, so is unlikely to get the playing time to amass the stats to win Rookie of the Year, so I think he would be a horrible bet to win the award.

I'd say it will probably be Jabari.  My darkhorse sleeper will be KJ McDaniels.  I imagine he'll play a lot of minutes for PHI, and depending on what he can do with those minutes I could see him putting up some numbers.

I think Jabari will be ROY

as said in another thread, I believe Smart will give Jabari a run for his money

I won't have Wiggins in there because of Irving and he'll probably be competing for a #2 scorer with Dion Waiters.

If Bradley walks, I can definitely see Smart come in and contribute right away

if the voters care about defense, Parker will not win

The voters historically care more about scoring.

JParker will get his minutes.  Not sure MSmart will get enough minutes to get noticed.  Seems like the Cs are trying to keep AB and obviously Rondo.  So it would surprise if Smarts gets more than 20 mins/gm

I think KO averaged about 20mins/gm as compared to MCarter-Williams 35min/gm....

I voted Parker b/c I think he should average close to 20ppg even as a rookie.  I think a serious dark horse candidate is Julius Randle.  LAL is gonna be thin at the 4, so Randle should get some serious minutes.  Would anyone be shocked if Randle averaged 16/8 next year?
