I'll pass -- regardless on the number of picks.  This season my opinion of Harden took a hit.  I see him as just a guy that shoots, a lot.  No Defense.  so-so ball handler.  doesn't really improve this teammates.  didn't exactly step up big in the playoffs.

A year ago I'd have swapped Harden and Rondo for a pick but now I'm not so sure.  as for someone's argument that Harden will attract more FAs than Rondo, that's so off base.  Players want to play with a guy who'll get them a ball, not a guy that's going to chuck up a bunch of shots and play toreador on D.

I do it for no more than two: the Clips pick and one of the Brooklyn picks. People who are whiffing on Harden for his defense obviously haven't watched Rondo the last couple of years.  He's a much better defender than Harden, but he gambles and loses his man SOOO much that it's pathetic. You're not going to trade for KG every time you make a trade. Harden's a sensational talent, and you have irrational expectations if you're expecting us to trade Rondo for no less than the reincarnation of MJ.

We need a #1 go to scorer, Harden can help but Rondo + 3 first round is WAY too much for Harden. And with his defense, you better have more defensive players on the team

I'd do Rondo and ONE first and that is it...other than that, I rather keep Rondo then overpay for a great elite scorer that plays no defense

Tommy point to KG living legend.

I really like this idea.

IF the Rockets get Melo, could it work out between him and Harden?

Both guys need the ball in their hands, don't they?

If the Rockets land Melo then dealing Harden for a pass first point guard is perfect for both teams.

I really like this idea and wonder if we could even expand it to like Rondo and Jeff Green for Harden and Beverly?

Houston can use Green at the 2, Parsons at the 3 and Melo at the 4 with Rondo and Howard.

Celts would get a new franchise player in return and oh by the way, when Durant hits free agency in 2016, having Harden in Boston could be a draw from their OKC days.

Two first rounders and two seconds.

I wont do any of the Brooklyn picks. Those picks are very valuable, they can have ours and the Clippers, and maybe Philly's, and the second rounders.

This is with the assumption that Smart and Green are on the team, we'll be good defensively. Smart if Harden goes against a SG who's, well, good, Smart takes him.

One thing to bear in mind though, we don't know how good or bad Brooklyn will be in the next few years.

Some people assume they'll be bad because of their declining and injury prone players (JJ, DWill and BLopez) but we don't know that for sure.

Brooklyn could go out next summer and land Kevin Love or Lamarcus Aldridge.

Still opens up the possiblity that they can be bad.

We have our own picks, the Clippers and some second rounders. Let's not give away BKN's pick as it may turn into gold. We land Harden, we'll be good until 2017 (well, good enough to not be lottery bound I guess). Nets could be good too, or not. So let's hold on to that.

people think rondo is ball dominant and lackluster on defense??
that is harden's strengths  :o
great scorer but needs ball way too much for stevens system, poor defender
pass on that one

How does this help us?

We stay in mediocrity and we lose three future picks in the process.

Houston is all in on winning now and having Harden as the face of the franchise. Can't see them trading him for Rondo and picks. I'd rather have Rondo and the picks anyways but I bet Danny would take that deal.

If Houston gets Melo I could see them looking at Rondo, God knows you can't have 2 chuckers on 1 team. That is much more than I would be willing to give up though. Perhaps we take Lin off their hands with the TE.

I'd rather trade Rondo for Lin and picks. Lins contract expires next season which would be nice.

If we got Harden, I'd want Rondo here. That way you could bring in an other FA, and it would be more inviting to have Rondo and Harding than Harding and a bunch of 24 and under players.

Moving Rondo would be for the youth movement, and Harding could hinder Youngs development with AB being Harding and Young behind him.

If you moved Rondo you could start Smart and AB until Young gets to the point were he's over all better than AB. Which if he has a good attitude, and works could be by next season. I would love to have a SG at his height that can knock shots down, and hopefully commit to D. Unlike Harding.
