Why are there so many people that have so much hatred towards rondo? Guys a triple double machine. He's prob top 10 in the league when it comes to competitiveness,  the guy doesn't give up.  It's so clear the guy played with a torn up knee not caring,  or even dislocating his elbow!  Or is it just me with green goggles and not realizing rondo just isn't good and not competitive.

Nobody here hates Rondo.  He's actually my favorite player on team.   I've had arguments with people on this forum about how good Rondo actually is... and whether or not our best course of action is to keep him or obtain assets for him...   but he's still my favorite player on the team.

I saw someone say this in another forum...  we live in the "age of hyperbole".  If you don't think something is the "best ever", everyone assumes you hate it.   Rondo gets a lot of fair criticism.  Still a fine player.

Personally I hope we keep Rondo and manage to land Kevin Love, Melo, Asik and Martin/Affalo.   THat'd be amazing.  But I'm also open to the idea of moving Rondo for picks, taking Embiid, and building this from the ground up.  Both scenarios excite me... I don't think either is likely.

All your posts are boiling with Anti-Rondo rhetoric. You an ex-girlfriend who was dumped by Rajon ?

I think this thread was made specifically to lure Chris22 out. GG.

P.S. Rondo still one of them best triple-double machines in the playoffs! ;D

You're right - he's a much better shooter now.

The obsession of trading Rondo here in CB baffles me.

Why panic that he won't sign an extension here. We already know that he is the anti-Lebron personality.

Rondo is probably my favorite player too on the Celtics at this point.

I don't think people WANT Rondo so much to leave , in fact I think the opposite is true ,  I believe most want him to,stay ....if Danny can do his job  ???

IF .....Danny can improve the team ....get some elite talent to help him....but that's not looking good right now from many reports.

Otherwise ....being a realist ...it's easy to see Rondo doesn't have time to wait around four years for Sully and KO to MAYBe be stars or we draft a young potential star.

I mean ...it's down to Danny to land some quality talent on the team SOON .....time is short I fear .....

If he can't find talent to make  Boston a contender ...he'll have to trade Rondo....and that won't be popular for lot of reasons with ALOt of owners, fans ,players etc.

Rondo is just a pawn .

The deal rest squarely on Danny's back to get elite talent in Boston .

Rondo is a wonderful player. But the nba is not lolli pops and sugar highs, its a business. And with the cba and cap, it may be in our best interest to start over. Which sucks because we can all agree Rondo is a top pg in the playoffs.

I love Rondo, too but I recently stated that Thomas from SAC could be considered better than him.   Right now, with the injury hurting his triple double threat that is true as stats clearly make that easy to see folks.

I do not want to see him traded for Ben McLemore (who can't shoot at this point) or LA.  Even for the number eight, right now Ben has El Busto wrote all over him.

We get some shooters and it would help Rondo immensely here.   Jeff Green rarely has the desire to go beat his man one on one though he is not a bad shooter.   He is a let the game come to him and that kind of guy is not good for Rondo to play with since sometimes your playing 4 on 5 in the half court set with Rondo's jumper.   Sully thinks he can shoot ( he can't but would be a great four if he embraced it and concentrated on rebounding and dirty work).

So who are those shooters that we need to slot around him?

The injury didn't really hurt his triple double threat. He's still at or near the tops for point guards in rebounds and assists.
