Fisher better buy a family pack of advil bc he is going to need it trying to deal with Melo, JR Smith, Felton

Well, I guess I'll have to deactivate my "Mike Brown Knicks" and "Vinny Del Negro Knicks" Google alerts.  It's too bad, because I just love trolling my Knick fan friends.  Here's hoping for a steep learning curve!

Apparently the Knicks haven't learned from Brooklyn's mistake. I get Fisher has been playing for a long, long time, but should he go threw at least a season of assistant coaching before getting the Head Coaching gig?

I wonder if this really forces Melo to bail.

Jeez ... first time coaches getting paid crazy money this summer.

Those types of deals were usually given to guys who were proven top 10 coaches in the league.

I think he will be a good coach in a few years, is Melo waiting for that? I actually don't think Melo is ever leaving the Knicks, this move doesn't mean much. I bet Fish is willing to use the triangle that's why he got the job. Phil wants to be the coach behind the scene.

you are so nice. Derek Fisher is just a stooge. Phil Jackson actually believes his own press clippings. He really thinks he won all those championships and not MJ Kobe or Shaq. The press release shows that he is even hiring assistants for Fisher.

This one looks like it has epic fail all over it. Fisher will get a front office gig, which everyone has always thought is what he would do after his playing career.

I wonder if Pau Gasol will take his talents to the Big Apple this fall.

Fisher utilizing the triangle offense, masterminded by Phil Jackson?

And might as well bring back World Peace and pick up Bynum too.

Then they just need to lure Kobe.

There, NYK is your Lakers "2010" East lol.

two family packs. he also has to deal with the ny knicks owner interfering.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

More reason for Melo to bail.  Celtics await you, Melo.

I don't think so because he wants to play there and probably has since childhood. I think he is doing nothing more than lip service... he wants to win no doubt, him talking about opting out and making leaving a possibility is just to scare them into putting better talent around him. I can imagine Melo ending his career with no rings but getting close a couple times, in NY. They will eventually add more solid talent for him and he will stick around and be satisfied with being close but not good enough, I think it's different than him leaving Den.

With that said, I'd take him over Love b/c I think the price would be different and hopefully less. Like (hopefully) giving up Green and other things instead of Sully/KO and things.
