You would think that after the big-3 era people would understand that it takes severall all-star calibar players to compete.

the fact that Love hasn't been able to bring his team to the playoffs with a horrible roster in the stacked west shouldnt be anything to hold against him. I would trust danny being able to put a competitive team together with the right players around love than the timberwolves
one would hope but based on the majority of the trade ideas thrown around on the site, if Danny made one of those trades he'd have no assets left to acquire anyone that would be of any use

They're dumb. They have the choice between Jabari, Embiid & Wiggins then they want to trade the pick for Love who won't even resign with them! Unbelievable!!

Has he helped his team get to the playoffs yet??
Is he a good two way player??
He has shot overall for his career 44 percent (FG). is that good for a premier PF in this league??

He is no different than a guy like Carmelo Anthony.  Even if they make the playoffs, they are not efficient scorers and don't play the kind of defense that can help you win it al
l

any objections?

(1) No he hasn't helped his team make the playoffs but is that a measure of individual talent? Has Kyrie Irving helped his team make the playoffs? Demarcus Cousins? Andre Drummond? Anthony Davis? I don't blame a player for not carrying a team full of busts and losers to the playoffs.

(2) Yes. His defense is mediocre, but not bad. For comparison Sullinger is decimal points better in defensive real plus minus. For comparison Olynyk is literally bottom three IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE. His Scoring is TOP 4 IN THE ENTIRE NBA and his rebounding is THIRD IN THE ENTIRE NBA. He is an elite rebounder and scorer so factoring those things into your idea of "a good two way player means that yes, he is good.  Also it isn't necessary to be a two way player to be a superstar...Do you see Dwight Howard knocking down three pointers, jumpshots or free throws? No but he is still the best center in the entire NBA.

(3) Read this link, field goal percentage is a joke. Rondo would be elite by your standards. http://deadspin.com/5912397/the-best-shooters-in-the-nba-and-the-tyranny-of-field-goal-percentage

Any more questions?

1) are any of those players considered to be elite? Have they helped their team get into the playoffs yet? You see old man Duncan or Nowitzki able to do that?  Nowitzki's mavs have a roster mainly consisting of role players.

2) You stating that Dhoward is the best Center in the league proves to me you don't know how to evaluate a players impact for their team.  Marc Gasol and old man Duncan are better. They might not pull down 20 rebounds but they are so much smarter vs howard .Their Leadership skills is a 10 vs Dhoward who is like a 5

3) FG percentage matters. And yeah outside of this past season Rondo has been considered an efficient scorer.  You don't keep chucking shots like KL does.  Instead of shooting he could drive in or post up. Or pass the ball to the open player.  KL and Carmlo Anthony could be a little more unselfish on a consistent basis which would make their teams better.

Love doesn't dive for balls, takes many chages, doesn't end defensive plays with contesting shots.   He will stop defending half way though to potentially get a rebound.

We will never agree about Love's worth, but if you think this guy is going to get you anywhere significant with the type of money he will demand then you will be disappointed. If we get him we will see who is right
you blast love for lack of defense and not being a two way player but then bring up dirk nowitzki who plays even worse defense. And yes all the players i mentioned are elite. Howard is not a leader but he is still the best defensive center in the league and its not even close
