I love Stephenson. I love his attitude. His antics? Okay a little childish, but... He is 23. He was also averaging 7.3 boards per game, and was the only person who was consistent.

And guess what? His antics show me his confidence, and attitude in his ability to play... He isn't scared of Lebron, and in fact embraces the challenge. That is the type of player you want in my opinion... Someone that isn't afraid of the best player in the league, and possibly the NBA in a few years.

I would welcome him with open arms. I don't think Stephenson is the type of player who would fight with Rondo, they may have issues at first, but what knucklehead/youngster didn't have that? Hes 23. He has plenty of time to mature, and develop.

I really do hope we try to go after him. Stephenson is a great player, and a great rebounder. Getting Rondo/Stephenson as the back court, is not only great defensively, but they both can make plays, drive, and dish. They are also two great players that can rebound for their position. Yes Stephenson has been criticized for trying to 'stat pad,' but then you can argue the same for Rondo...

A team of Rondo/Stephenson/Love is a great core to have, and with the right Center/veteran pieces, I can see them being a great team at rebounding, and a great passing team. Imagine Rondo on the fast break from a outlet pass from Love, and Rondo driving while bounce passing to Stephenson for the easy lay in.

I don't understand all the hate towards Stephenson. If anything, Paul George/Hibbert looked extremely scared and shook when it came to the Heat series. Stephenson/West were the only two who basically didn't even flinch at the opportunity to play against the Heat.

I don't really care for his attitude or his antics but I could live with them if he played well. I didn't see a ton of the Pacers in the playoffs but looking at his numbers I don't think he was really consistent in the playoffs.

Absolutely!! Stephenson is a fiery competitor who other players should want to go to war with...  With all the hate he is receiving in Indy im sure he'd love to come to Boston... A core of him, Rondo, Green, Love, and Asik would easily be a 55win team and can smoke anyone in the east...
Compare us with this years Pacers team and we have an obvious edge..
Rondo>Hill
Stephenson=Stephenson
Green<George
Love>West
Asik>Hibbert

Lets go CELTICS!!!

He's one of two players with Indiana who didn't fold like origami. Wish we could get him. No idea if that's realistic or not...

Stephenson is overrated, act like he was 7 yr, talk too much & produce little. Nobody want him here. Rather have Evan Turner!

Why hate Stephenson? You might as well hate a tiger for his claws, hate a shark for his teeth. Stephenson is one of God's own prototypes. Ron Artest, just after he got back from a Bill Lambieer basketball camp.

his antics make people think hes not taking the series against Miami seriously.  Hes doing all this sideshow crap while his team is getting their butts handed to them in the ECF, it puts the Pacers whole season in perspective this year.

It reminds me of when Rasheed Wallace caught a bunch of a crap in Detroit by joking around and pretending to listen in on the celtics huddle while we're spanking the Pistons in the playoffs in 2008.

A seasoned veteran team with an established, solid, locker room is a great place for Stephenson (like San Antonio).  A young impressionable locker room that needs to stay focused like the celtics is a bad idea.  Kinda like Gilbert Arenas on the Washington Wizards a few years ago.

I love Lance!

I would sign and trade AB for him.

But Indiana is not gonna let that happen

love lance stephenson, would definitely like him as a celtic, sign him through free agency or sign and trade a deal with him and avery bradley (ab is not a bad consolation prize for a player you were gonna lose anyway) (stephenson is about to cash in, and being on a rookie contract drafted in second round making 1 million I do not think indiana can afford to keep him)

I understand where you're coming from.

But like I said, I think Stephenson is getting so much heat for being the reason why the Pacers lost. I hugely disagree. I watched the playoff series, and the only one who actually tried in my opinion was Stephenson...

Paul George averaged around 22.5 PPG from the Pacers vs Heat game, but I would say if you didn't see his stats in the playoffs, then you wouldn't have expected it to be over 18 PPG; the way he was playing.

Stephenson has the fire, and the competitiveness. If we can sign and trade Stephenson for Bradley and someone else, with 1 or 2 of our draft picks, (obviously not the Nets one, unless lottery protected,) I would certainly do it. I hope Ainge is calling Bird, and asking him what he thinks about trading Stephenson..

As for his maturity/attitude... I don't see any issues with it... Hes 23, like I said... Plenty of room to grow... Plenty of time to develop and adjust certain issues or any kinks in his game. I love how confident Stephenson is. And so is Rajon Rondo. Honestly, I can see the two being great friends. They'll clash at times, but they both understand the game very well.

Lance Stephenson?s agent tells Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv that his client will have no shortage of suitors this offseason. Despite his on-court antics during the playoffs, a former GM pegs his yearly value in the $5MM-$8MM range, still short of the $10MM range he was estimated at earlier this season. Here?s more from Indiana:

If Stephenson is going to get around 5-8 million, then we should jump on that.. Buy out Wallace, clear some cap space, and try to bring him in.

I would also love to bring back Pierce.

Rondo/Pressey/FA
Stephenson/FA/CJ
Green/Pierce
Love/KO
Asik/Anthony/FA

Sounds like a contender that just needs the veterans to be interested enough to want to flock in.

I don't see how people can dislike Stephenson's game when they supported KG for 6 years. KG would clap in opponent's faces, get down on all fours to intimidate smaller players, sack whack people shooting 3's, and drop arguably more f bombs than every mob movie that starred Joe Pesci combined. You can't have it both ways.

I'd love to have a player like Stephenson on the team. He's a big, strong, talented player with a swagger. The C's would be lucky to have a player like him.

Stephenson>Bradley.

I know who i'd rather have if both are commanding a $6-8mil salary.

I don't think any of us Celtics fans would mind Stephenson's antics if he was wearing green!
