one thing I've not seen raised -- and I doubt it's a real thing but i'm curious to hear others' take:
Is there any reluctance on MIN's part to get a boatload of assets from BOS for Love versus getting them from any other team?
What i mean is: *if PHO and BOS offer roughly the same thing* (i.e. all things equal --- a couple good 1sts, absorbing a contract or 2 and a couple good young players), doesn't MIN go with PHO just to keep their fanbase from saying "NOT AGAIN!!!" we've traded a franchise player for a pu pu platter from Boston?!?
That argument actually got brought up countless times.
Past history should not factor into personnel/front office decisions in making trades for players like KG/Love.
If the Celtics have the best offer, then its wise to choose it regardless of past experiences. Saunders is in a tough situation, and replacing/making up for Kahn's mistakes is also going to be very hard.
Above all, the FO from Kahn days are pretty much all gone and different, and Saunders must make the right decision no matter what. If BOS acquires Love, and we win a championship that year. Oh well.
You make decisions based on rationality, and not emotions.

I think Sully, Bass, Bogans, Celtics '14 pick, 2016 Nets, and one future Celtic pick is a pretty attractive offer.
I think the users overrate Sully, and seem to undermine Love. Despite the fact while Sully may be better 'defensively,' and I sort of doubt that, Love is the souped up version of Sully. I don't think Sully will ever be a superstar or a candidate for MVP conversations at all. Sully is not so loved by other teams, and some actually think his trade value is overrated due to his height/weight and injury history.
