PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN! I want no part of his price tag. PLEASE!! ANY TEAM BUT US!!!
Why don't you want Kevin Love?  He'd easily be the best player on the Celtics.

First, he wouldn't easily be the best player. Second, I don't want him if it costs us multiple picks and Sully/KO (I don't like the money but we'd have to pay some star anyway). Third, I think with work this offseason Sully will give you a few less points and rebounds than Love but be a better defender on a rookie deal.

I like Love but I don't like giving all that up and then hope that he stays but also have to pay a premium. Love doesn't make us MUCH better. What gets RR and him to stay when we won't be able to afford anyone else after paying them? We will make the playoffs but how far are we going, even if we get Asik to round it out?

I'm not a fan of Melo but I would rather we work out something for him, like the picks for Love but send Green instead of Sully/KO.

I rather we draft Gordon and one of the elite college shooters, see how far Sully and KO have progressed, get Asik, and a few other vet pieces and see how it goes until allstar break. I know that means we don't have these picks for Love but we have picks next season which should be another solid draft plus future picks. Maybe now is the only shot we have at Love but I wouldn't do it.

All that said, if he is a Celtic I will root for him as if he was the best ever.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
No way they give up the first for Love.
No way Love wants to play in Cleveland.

End of discussion lol. Love's agent/ media people will squash this ASAP.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
