I just don't believe Ainge would make Stevens deal with a headcase like Smart. It's just not what they're trying to do.
Can we stop with the headcase stuff...Kid had ONE incident. Not justifying his reaction, but he thought the guy called him a racial slur and in the heat of the moment he reacted. Again, I don't agree with that reaction, but I wouldn't call him a "headcase".
All he did when he returned was lead his team to their best basketball and into the NCAA Tournament. Before the above incident, by the way, he was seen as a leader and well mannered. I would believe that most teams feel that he still is and are much less concerned about that fiasco than any one of us.
Not a fan of kids getting labeled because of a mistake...How many mistakes do we all make at the age of 20? My goodness...
No. There's more than one incident, and if you do your research you will discover them, ranging from madcap flopping to the venture into the stands.
From ESPN: "Smart also previously displayed his frustration with emotional outbursts on the court. In addition, he apologized to teammates after struggling through a four-point game against West Virginia in which he kicked a chair on the bench."
This is a pretty good summary of his comic genius. Kid's going to need a BIG contract at $5K per in the league:
http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/story/2014-02-05/marcus-smart-flops-a-compilation-of-his-best-and-his-reactionNO interest whatsoever in Marcus Smart. Don't believe Danny's trying to turn the Celtics into a wayward home for immaturity, but it's a moot point. The pick is going to be traded, as it should be.
