Ranking the Centers the Celtics can obtain for next season

If we don't get Embid, I'm hoping that Milwaukee drafts him and is willing to trade Sanders to us at a decent price.  He may be trouble, but is a very talented guy who in a good organization like the Celtics should be able to get his act together.

trust me when i say this. Danny and Stevens are walking as far away as possible from Sanders .  The guy is pure problems and is pro marijuana use (even though the league is against it).

The league is actively phasing out testing for it.  They don't even check for it during the summer.  Really though, that's why you don't want to sign him?  That is literally the least of his problems.

I don't care if people smoke marijuana. But make sure you don't get caught, especially if you know you get screened tests for it.

Sanders didn't do himself any favors by getting caught again. What happens if he keeps violating that rule, and get suspended from the NBA for more extra games?

Sanders really does need a coach that can reach out to him. He has a lot of talent. And its so sad to see how detrimental; it is to the developments of a good young prospect.

He has the same wingspan as KO.   His game is kind of like KO's actually

we need a real center. Nobody likes Aldrich eh? i think the kid can still get better. His 7'6 wingspan and 9'3 reach is pretty massive.  I think it was the last game or 2nd last game. He did a pretty good number on Jonas Valančiūnas

He'll be an excellent 3rd big, but I think he can do well as a starter.

Surely he wont be THAT GUY that will elevate us to the top, but 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1.3 blocks per 36 minutes is solid starter contribution. Especially if he can be had for maybe the MLE, and chances are, we can get him for that.

Smith is a real Center. You can bring up wingspan and all,  he'll give you 22 points, 16 rebounds and 2 blocks againts Detroit and that massive front line.

Yes, he can have those kind of nights. Wish he could do it consistently (then again, if he does, he's a superstar), bubut he has proven that he's a legit NBA big. Short wingspan and all.

And unlike KO, he rotates well on defense.

Compare that to Aldrich, its no contest.

I'll take any good center that doesn't make me give up Sully or Kelly. If we get one I hope we move both Bass and Hump (Asik for me b/c I don't think Gortat will be available). I like both Bass and Hump but keeping one is minutes I would rather give to SKully... keep Hump if the plan is for him to be backup C but we have Vitor already under contract for cheap.

Sounds like Robin Lopez to me. Slightly underrated and will be low maintenance.
