From an interview at Basketball Insiders:

Quote
BI: Next season when you come back, what should we expect to see from Jeff Green?
JG: I was talking to Avery (Bradley) about this. I feel like I should come back with a little bit more swagger. Not having an attitude towards people or going out there getting technical fouls, but just having a little swagger to my game. I’m so even keeled that, once again, people take it that I don’t care about situations, but that’s just my demeanor. So Avery was telling me I should have a little swagger. Gerald (Wallace), too. I think that’s probably the biggest thing that I might try to change. I don’t know how it’s going to change overnight, but hopefully.

BI: What do you think swagger would add to your game?
JG: I think it’d just add confidence, continued confidence, for me go out there and just play every night the way I know how to play. Still not care about what people have to say, but they will hate it that much more, which will fuel me a little bit more.

How would you define swagger and does Jeff Green need it?
"The worst thing that ever happened in sports was sports radio, and the internet is sports radio on steroids with lower IQs.” -- Brian Burke, former Toronto Maple Leafs senior adviser, at the 2013 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference

Look at Pierce and Garnett, that's swagger. Jeff Green doesn't have that.

Confidence, yep. If he goes out there every night with an attitude like no one can stop me, I think it could help or like I think they are saying, make everyone think you are the ish with your demeanor... that could help him believe it. Fake it til you make it.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Yeah, the "Jeff Green needs to be more aggressive / play with more swagger" thing is a broken record.

Here's an article from a year ago that deals with a lot of the same issues (i.e., Green's lack of aggressiveness, expressiveness, etc.):

he needs to improve his handles. no expects him to go left because he struggles so hard dribbling to his left. if he had good dribbling skills he could get to spots so much easier.

I've been a Green apologist since he came here, but if his attitude didn't change this season, it never will.

He had the heart and soul of the franchise leave. He had Rondo injured most of the season. This was his chance to show everyone (and himself) he can be "the man." We weren't even expecting him to take us to the playoffs. Just lead the team. He couldn't be consistent, often barely showing up (I know this all too well as I made the mistake of drafting him in my fantasy league).

He doesn't have the makeup to be a star. As talented as he may be, he will always be a role player.

I don't care if he stays or he goes. Nice kid. Good talent. Just doesn't have the mentality to be a stud.

You either have it or you don't. I don't really think its a switch you can turn on and, especially, mid-career.

Jeff just doesn't have "it".

I say this as Pierce just drills a big 3 in the Nets/Raptors game. He sure as hell has it.

The poor guy seems to think swagger will give him confidence, rather than confidence would give him swagger.

I wonder what would have happened to Robert Parish if he played today and his demeanor was constantly analyzed and critiqued after every game.

in the infamous words of Kobe Bryant.. 'ship him out'.

He does not have swagger and I echo a prior post in the thread, you cannot turn it off and on. You either have it or you don't.

There are scrubs that have swagger and superstars that do not. JG does not have swagger.

'Ship him out'

Any way we can transplant Jordan Crawford' s swagger into Jeff Green?  If not, can we just trade Green? It's terribly frustrating not knowing when this guy will bring his game.

Kobe 's brain and mindset into Green s head would create a monster NBA player .......maybe Wilkins like or a poor man Dr J.

Green is blessed .  But really doesn't see himself as a basketball god....... He is not seeing himself as great.  He has become what he sees himself as ...... A third best player or option .

But he is a happy go lucky type B personality .

Not sure , he is the kind of guy to take the reins , put the team on his back and win every game. ....that's a type A person .

Jeff appears to be a follower and not a leader  .

He doesn't have the warrior attitude , but just in spurt s .    A few plays or minutes a game he is in take no prisoners mode .   Rest of the time  he just disappears .

Jeff Green needs to feel that winning is the Most important thing or the reason for being in the NBA

If Green produced like the Chief, nobody would care.
