No way is KO 3rd string at PF and C. He's better than both Faverani and Speights. Plus,  he's younger than both, has more room for growth, and the C's will continue to develop him.

This could be a plan if DA wants to go with a longer term youth driven rebuild and not bring in pieces to help Rondo. These moves would ultimately lead to Rondo being traded by mid season and Exum taking over at the point.

I dont think this is likely but it is very plausable.

I am glad your not our GM.  But it took guts to lay it out there.  No plan should be made until the draft and we see what we get.   Plans could be in place depending what we draw in the draft lottery though.

I wasn't really sure but he would complement Sullinger and mahinmi pretty well. This is more for the longer term rebuild, But say if Rondo starting being like himself again and exum looks like he could be ready, moving rondo for another all star or a bunch of future assets to add to the core of exum, Sullinger, Barnes, KO, and lavine would be offly exciting. I like rondo but there is always a price especially if we are taking the longer rebuild route.

I'm happy keeping jeff green but Barnes is one guy I'd like to get if we do move him. I'm thinking balls bounce our way and we nab Parker or Embiid at #3. Kyle Anderson / Hairston with the 2nd pick.

Also, Zach Levine, while probably a good gamble, looks like he's at least 2 years away from being ready to sniff NBA minutes. One of the bigger projects in the draft IMO. I like that future picks are still in hand under these trade options though.

We could give rondo plenty of time to build up his trade value and then move him at the deadline. Maybe we could move Wallace along with rondo. But I think lavine is worth it at 19.

not a fan of Barnes, yet.  hasn't shown much IMO.  if we're trading Green and Bass, I know we can do better than what you're proposing to bring back.  If we're sending them out, send them to Houston for Asik and parts.  better center.

Hump, Bayless and Bogans are most likely cut.  no reason to keep them.

moves would need to be dependent on who we draft.  Based on where we're projected to pick and who's projected to be BPA at those slots, I think we're likely to pick up a SF and SG which we could use.  If we get a  good SF, trading Green becomes more feasible. 

I would like to bring in Asik since his deal is expiring and will free up our money but I would rathe have Barnes and I think mahinmi as a full time starter would be just as good as Asik.

Personally, I'd like to at least try to field a good team next year.  This year, we didn't even pretend to.

It starts with a PG and C.  We have a great PG.  We NEED at least a very good starting center.  Period.  First order of business.

In order of preference, I like Gortat the best, by far, of the folks likely to be available.  I would offer the full TPE, since that's what starting centers get paid.  We're joking if we think he's an MLE guy. I'd take a healthy Okafor over Asik, but those are 1-2-3.

Rondo/Gortat, and fill in around them.  Not such a bad start, eh?

Sully is best as a 6th man, IMO.  I'd try to start KO.  We'd have a nice big front line, and a great 3-big rotation, with competition for the 4th big spot.  Two 7' guys allows us to play Bass if we're stuck with him.  That's a pretty nice rotation of bigs right th ere.

SF is a situation.  We have Green, who is good but not great.  That's a hard upgrade to make (good to great-like the book).  We'll probably have to go with him.

Bradley is simply not durable enough to be a starter, but he's hell on wheels as a 3rd guard.

Pressey comes back as a backup, possibly 3rd PG.  He's good, cheap insurance, and people seem to like him.

We need to find a starting SG somewhere.  Maybe it's the draft with a high pick, but I'd say if we fill that spot with the right piece, we're back in the game.

Of course, Bogan & Hump are gone, as is Bradley if anyone pays more than the MLE (too much for a backup non-6th man).
