I don't think Collins has had the best selling jersey since just after he was signed.

As for the right decision, he's a bit player so he probably won't move the needle much either way.  But he's a long-time veteran with roots in the Nets organization who's played with a lot of the guys there, so he's probably a better fit than the other options available.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Explain?

I think he's refering to this:

Quote
No. 98 jerseys have become the top seller at NBAStore.com, and Collins and the NBA are to be commended for announcing they’ll donate proceeds from sales, and from auctioned jerseys worn by Collins in games, to two charities, the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network and the Matthew Shepard Foundation.

Also an interesting fact I never knew, but learned from that article:  Collins wears #98 in tribute to Matthew Shepard, a gay college kid beaten to death in 1998.  Even though he wore #98 before he came out publicly, he still chose the number for that reason.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Right, that I knew.

I was more wondering what constituted "the right decision."

Ok, you're gonna have to translate this one for me.  Are you asking me for a point-by-point breakdown of Collins vs all those other guys?  Cuz I'm not gonna do a point-by-point breakdown of Collins vs all those other guys.  He's an 11th man on a team I don't root for.

Maybe im wrong but i think the OP is suggesting that a team in the playoff hunt with a billionaire owner who is multillions into the tax signed jason colllins to sell jerseys rather than for his size, endo of bench d, vet leadership, and recent experience with PP and KG.
