Starting Front Court

Does it kinda bother anyone else that Sully and Olynyk are coming off the bench at this point? With only 20 games to go shouldn't we be more focused on developing players that are part of the teams future?

Our problem is sully is really our only starting quality big as a pf.  Even then he's inconsistent.
Hump good pf/c off the bench
Kelly same
Bass good pf off the bench

Ainge needs to make a package this off season with at least one of those guys.  Love, green, rondo is a good starting block

I'm just thinking about these last handful of games. If we are gonna lose, why not lose playing young players the most?

Well, I think the issue is that Kelly clearly hasn't earned a starting spot yet, though he's had some good games.  He shouldn't just be gifted a starting spot.

Sully has earned a spot, but we want him getting the majority of his minutes alongside Kelly to see how they fit together.  Bringing him off the bench makes some sense, then.

Also, if we play the young guys heavy, heavy minutes in this last stretch of the season as the team spirals downward under the increasing weight of loserdom, it could encourage them to develop bad habits.  It might be better to keep playing the veterans for (fairly limited) minutes ahead of them.


That's the best rational I can think of for not starting them, anyhow.

Has Kelly earned it now? Humphries is a really bad passing big man. Stevens has to stop with the Humphries and Bass combo
