Yea he's definitely bigger . Last night I thought we had resigned Pietrus, because from a side angle he looks very similar body wise .

So it's ok to suggest that LeBron uses HGH but not ok to say it about Rondo, even though we have exactly the same amount of proof for either player's use?

Interesting.

Considering that this is a Boston blog, I fail to see how it is interesting.

What a shocker, Boston fans are biased towards Boston players.

HGH?

Wow his chin really juts out now.   I think a lot of guys probably use it.  Some guys got bigger in one off season.

Yes DOS, the comparisons are SO similar.  One guy at his peak was 6'8" and around 280lbs. and had growth removed from his jaw.  This growth was in his parotid gland, that if I am not mistaken, helps break down testosterone and HGH.

The other guy is around 6' and maybe 190lbs. even with the added weight and has NOT had growth in his parotid gland removed.

Hmmmm.  Wow, that is a CLOSE one to me DOS:-)))))

My feeling is that HGH use is probably pretty common in the NBA.  The testing procedures for it are just too feeble and the potential benefits are enormous, particularly for athletes recovering from major injuries.

;D

I prefer to think about it as the opposite - until you get caught, you're clean. But I grew up through the 'See nothing, say nothing' PED era of baseball, so that's probably just a learned behavior.

Ditto PhoSita!! There is NO testing for HGH in the NBA at ALL right now!!!!  This is a great read from yesterday I think!!!  If you want to know what a stinking JOKE the NBA drug testing is for PED's, read this ASAP:

I'd say that as Celtics fans we enjoyed some pretty deep playoff runs on the back of a very old post-knee-injury Kevin Garnett.  So throwing rocks about PEDs seems kind of dangerous.  I'm not sure our house is made out of very sturdy stuff.

Well, the FACT that LB had his parotid gland operation and the possible fact of him being linked to Biogenesis of America that happened to be IN Miami, is not exactly throwing rocks without some substantiation.  I think that believing that Lebron got to 280lbs. with probably less than 6% body fat withOUT steroids is about as plausible as believing that Dolly Parton did  NOT have a breast enlargement!!

P.S. And I am not saying that Perk likely did not utilize some PED's, as he literally TRANSFORMED his body in ONE off-season, which is virtually impossible to do without some assistance.

I'd wager he wasn't any older than Kareem was on those later Lakers teams.
